Far Cry 4 due this November

Woogie works for Ubisoft! ;)

Or has a Titan Z gpu and claims the game is perfectly playable.

The game is playable if you can put up with the stuttering and flickering shadows.

My Rig is hardly ground breaking, I am running a I7 4770k, 16gig ram, a 780ti GHz edition that has Overclock issues so has been underclocked and a 120 gig OCZ Agility SSD. . I have made the tweaks made a few pages back and the game plays nearly buttery smooth on medium to high graphics settings with the odd microstutter here and there. The tweaks a few pages back really improved the game as I was suffering horrifically before making them.

It's not an argument. It's just that the game is genuinely unplayable on my rig (imo) at the moment.

I'd rather not play the game on terrible fps and stuttering amongst other bugs and much rather wait a month or two for it to be fixed and play an enjoyable experience

Reading through there seems to be a debate.

For single card users this game is great. I have knocked a card off and it's 'playable'

But for those of us who have purchased SLI then we don't want to have to knock a card off. Otherwise we wouldn't have bought two

So yes, with SLI, it's truly awful to play!

It seems to be accepted atm that SLI does not work well on this but those that disable SLI and use a single card the game works WAY better, Therefore it is playable on your rig you just want it to run with both cards. I would want this as well, I just wouldn't label it as unplayable and would disable SLI and play till SLI was fixed.

Even with just 1x290, it still isn't playable for me, doesn't matter what settings I use, it will stutter like crazy.

To me it just seems like people either:

- genuinely are having a perfectly smooth experience

OR

- just aren't as sensitive to stuttering as others

Unfortunately I notice stuttering no matter how small it is and it instantly puts me of any game.

The annoying thing is that it will probably never be fixed since far cry 3 and watch dogs still stutter away on my PC.... Saying that, the modding community managed to get watch dogs to run really well so hopefully someone can do something else for FC 4.

At the moment on a single card rig it is playable but the stuttering gets annoying, Even major media groups have noted this, Tweaktown, Kitguru, Kotaku etc...

Have you tried changing the Nvidia control panel profile for Farcry 4 for power options (best performance) and pre-rendered frames (3)?

That fixed the micro stuttering for a vast majority of people, Myself included.

Yep, Doesn't really do anything to be honest, This isn't a driver or hardware issue, Only Ubisoft can fix this from their end.

I've tried this game on a few different rigs so far, A few different rigs equipped with a mix of a Titan, Titan Black, 290X, 295X2, 980, 4770K, 4790K, 3930K and 5960X, All have the same microstutter, Some people don't actually notice it unless it's pointed out to them.

SLI user and yes I get stuttering occasionally still. The shadows have become a much worse issue for me though.

I am 3/4 of the way through now. So I will just have to power it through then come back to it once it's fixed to do the collections.

Really bad release again IMO..
