Far Cry 4 due this November

My game keeps crashing in a Shangri-La mission.

Where you get the slow motion bow, I get all the way to the end and press X to free the bell and it crashes to desktop.

Happened 3 times in a row on the same bit. When you restart the game it takes you ALL the way back to the start of that level.

How is this game running now, have Ubisoft washed their hands of it or have they patched it?

Considering a play through but do I even waste the disk space on it?

You may have no problems running it, it ran beautifully for me all maxed out with no real problems at all whilst others had endless problems.
I've installed & played GTA5 & currently Witcher 3 but I still have FC4 on the drive so I played a part of it again & remembered how enjoyable it was
flying around in the Gyro & riding Elephants to uptip cars & push them into the river.

Finally getting round to playing this. Bought on release and it refused to launch. Patked it up and forgot about it for 13 months.

Runs like a dream and looks great. Rolling around in my Roflcopter and hitting the missions fast.

I still have it installed and play it, you can see some amazing things when flying around, a Bear & a Tiger fighting to the death, Leopards chasing animals & realistically pulling them down, at the river there are Crocodiles under lilly pads, watch for an Elephant to go near the water & the Croc will grab the Elephants trunk who then shakes his head & flings the Croc back into the water :p

One game I cannot get to work this one :(

Mulitplayer runs and I can get into the main menu however starting single player campaign after halfway loading "Far Cry 4" has stopped responding.

Hi guys,

Finally got around to playing the DLC on this tonight.... question; do you have to play the Yeti stuff in one straight run through? I ask because I've left it a few times and I keep getting sent right back to the start

Thanks.

No, don't think so, but not played it in a while as I completed but am sure it should auto-save. Have you tried a manual save? Should still autosave as FC4 does

Thanks mate! I had to get to the Relay Station before I was able to save... school boy error :D

I bought the season pass ages ago but I've only just got round to completing the main game. Is the Yeti DLC the only single player stuff, external from the main game? I did all the Hurk stuff as part of the regular game. I'm not interested in the multiplayer maps.

Had FC4 for almost a year and only just got round to playing it recently and I'm enjoying it a bit more than FC3. Only explored about 1/3 of the total area so far and have to say loving the bow. Is it worth getting the DLC and also is Far Cry Primal worth getting as I see it's currently 50% on Steam.

I wrote this game off at launch as it didn't look too dissimilar to far cry 3 and having played that the year before I wasn't prepared for more of it just yet

However now I'm fairly far removed from that this may feel more fresh, how does it hold up and is it worth picking up? I think I would prefer this to primal tbh

I played FC3 (having finished 1 and 2) and really didn't like it - uninstalled after 20 minutes. FC4 is much better in terms of play-ability than 3, but I found it repetitive after about 15 hours so haven't been back to it in a while. Visually, it's very good and the side missions and other activities are good. My only other gripe is that once you unlock and buy the "custom" weapons, the game becomes a little too easy!

As far as Ubi games go, it's my absolute favourite. I'd even go so far as to say it's one of my favourite open world RPG's generally. There's not too much that separates it from it's predecessor aside from some more fleshed out mission content and additional weapon, skill tree branches etc.

It's Kyrat that makes the game for me. One of the most detail rich game worlds I've ever had the pleasure of playing in. The scale and ambition of the island is insane. It almost feels like I miss it on occasion. It's one of those games I replay annually during the summer drought.

Pagan Min is such a great villain too, despite being criminally underused in the actual plot.
