Far Cry 5

Looks lovely on XB1X, great fun too. Only complaint at the moment is that using the roads early on is near impossible as enemies come along so often. You take out what truck and another two have rocked up along with air support. It's also pretty hard as well once you get more than a few enemies, health plummets even on normal, toying with sticking it on easy just so I can enjoy blowing stuff up without constantly running for cover.

Two minor tips:

There is no need to keep skins this time as they aren't used for crafting but just as a source of money.

Weapon attachments are available as soon as you get access to a gun store, just equip the weapon there and then you can buy silencers, sights, etc.

My Wife's the same with TV, We have 1080p channels and she just watches the standard def, Says she cant see the difference yet its night and day to me. Just like my Pro vs my X.

I can see the difference my eyes are pretty good.

Just not in this game as it looks the same on both sat 5 feet away on my sofa. Looks great on both.

I think that's about right, it's got to a point where the difference is so small that you have to do the pausing, zoom in thing that DF does. In general comparing it is hard to see a difference.

I'm going to take back what I said about the game before, I tried playing it various times today and didn't like it, had issue with the X etc and didn't think I'd play it again. However I thought I'd give it one more go this evening and have just played 5 hours and enjoyed it :)

Digital Foundry said it made a difference reading signs at a distance and things like that.

It's a minor thing but I'd rather play at native 4k than something substantially lower.

The game comes into its own just exploring and doing missions as you come across them. It’s one of the most impressive ‘organic’ feeling worlds I’ve ever played. I play without the hud as it just looks so great.

I play mainly on Xbox as I prefer the controller I find the PS pad uncomfortable after a while. Tbh I pay little attention to digital foundry they really get on my nerves if I’m honest. Unless you sit on top of the tv and pause constantly most of what they find would not be noticed in normal gameplay so is pretty pointless.

I have just unlocked all of the companions now so a nice selection for missions. Also had my first crash back to the dash too. The game froze and then just quit......

Zoinks. That sounds like it’s coming close to Witcher 3 territory.
