These days it's more likely he mis-gendered someone or suggested some other modern shibboleth was untrue. It needn't be the act of Government everyone major business thinks their on the right side of history for refusing services on the basis of politics now.
 
I thought it was interesting that his example when talking about PEP laws that the EU bought in was to mention people being paid corruptly from the likes of Ukraine and China.

The man knows his audience :cry:

For those who will never watch the video, this is to give you some context as to what he has actually said, hopefully giving you an accurate idea rather guessing like most -

  • Told by his current Bank several months ago that his personal and business accounts will be closing about now.

  • Tried 7 other Banks for a personal and business account, told no by all.

  • He thinks its either because he is what the EU (by law) has defined as a "P.E.P" or Politically Exposed Person aka anyone involved in politics, which he says adds extra work for the bank or..............

  • It's because banks didn't want Brexit and as the "leader" of Brexit he is to blame for it or..............

  • It's because Chris Bryant said he received money from the Russian Government in 2018 which he claims is a lie.

  • He then talks about why a bank account is needed in 21st Century UK and how is was something stripped from people in the USSR and Nazi Germany.

  • He then says he'll tell people more on GBNews later today.
Anyone claiming they know exactly why his accounts were closed, without actually working for the bank involved, is simply guessing like the rest of us right now, even if that guess later turns out to be right/wrong, just bear that in mind.

Yes, Ukraine has very high levels of corruption, historically and in modern day Ukraine. That's why you see the likes of Hunter Biden over there.

Why so sensitive? It was a simple question, your admiration of Russia is clear to see, if you don't want people to question it, don't share your thoughts? What else do you expect people to do on a forum?

I don't know who anyone on the forum is, what's that got to do with the price of fish?
 
Woa , if his been told by 7 other banks that they won’t deal with him he must be on some kind of police watch list or something. There is no way banks would not deal with him just because of his political views . It’s a question of did he get money from either Russia , trump ( who was in power until recently ) or Silvio berlusconi

Banks in the UK have quite strict rules on who they can deal with, and where money is coming from and the proof required.

I suspect Farage has broken one or more of those rules or has refused to comply with the normal proofs that banks require in order to deal with things like fraud, money laundering, and money coming into the country from individuals or organisations that are proscribed.

Given Farage was IIRC working for RT, and is reputed to have a history of dodgy income sources I suspect the banks have queried something and been very unsatisfied with the (lack of) answers.

Bussiness accounts they might? Once you are rejected by one bank its pretty hard to convince others its not you its them.

I wonder if he takes trump coin.

Which do you think is more likely? (1) Patreon are happily hosting paedos or (2) Patreon aren't terribly good at detecting and removing accounts?

A bit like insurance, where once you've had your policy cancelled by one it can be very hard to get a new policy because the reasons for cancelling are pretty limited and usually indicative that you've misled them and they've found out.

I suspect it's going to be down to his business dealings with various Russian accounts in the past, and it's got me wondering which sanctioned accounts he may have had links to, we know about Russia Today, but what others.
