Perhaps he recognises the futility of the UK's vote? 72 proposals and 72 dismissals.

Its like some parliamentarians not showing up to vote in the HoC. You only get two options, if you disagree with both what would be the point in throwing your weight into the ring?

I would rather the expenses saved in such an instance.

Surely to debate and get people to your way of thinking with rational and logical statements?

Turning up for a vote and calling people names and using it as a platform to further your own ends of the UK leaving is never going to get other people to change their votes is it? In fact anybody undecided would probably vote the opposite to him especially if he had just insulted you.

I dont think you understand that you have been landed...

Making comments like that don't prove nothing. In A7F world maybe they do and you can stay there.

He has done so in the times I've seen him speak. What is more and what is more again important is that he is challenging the EU.

Turning up to a vote and calling people names? That is the hypocrisy of the regressive left. People who turned up to vote leave were called every name under the sun from racist, bigot, uneducated, little Englanders etc... Guess who has bore the brunt of that for 20 years?

Like I say he is criticized for calling them in my opinion quite validated names and yet people giving him horrible labels get let off Scott free. People threatening kill him and have his daughters raped... Police do nothing because the untrue opinions of him have stuck.

Just to add, if someone insulted me I would still keep my conviction and not change views because someone may have upset me just to scupper their plans. If that's what MEPs do or have done we have sorry excuses as representatives

Having an MEP talk crap to Eu parliament and having the average referendum voter calling others names is very different matter. He represented many people not just himself, his decorum affects all of us and the country's future, while several leavers shouting racist comments or a handful of remainers calling leavers stupid wont directly effect the opinion of other countries politicians.

He has deserved most names that he has been called .

What are these 72 proposals? I presume you mean 72 things the UK put forward to vote on?

What about the 3571 votes that were things put forward by other EU members on which he voted on 1375?

Isnt it important to turn up and vote no if you disagree with them? Just not turning up because you think the vote will go against you wont chaneg anything.

And out of those 1375 times he did vote, he voted based on the Europe of freedom and direct democracy Group aims, not on how the UK government wanted or believed was the correct course of action.

Which he is entitled to do as he is not a Tory etc.

So on that basis it looks like he voted against all the 72 proposals the UK government put forward?????

Ok, next time someone uses the term ********* it's going to get a warning.

It's another of the utterly stupid terms that seems to be getting used as an insult.

39% of things he voted on. 61% he didn't... Did every single one of those impact the UK?

We might need to list all 3500 odd proposals and have a thread for each one with Farage interrogated on his vote or non committal for each.

39% I would argue is pretty good odds considering its a higher mandate than what got Cameron into number 10... For a year and a month at least.

Crying about what?

People have been saying this stuff way before the referendum, Farage has always been a waste of money, time and space.

Who campaigned for years and was labeled every abhorrence under the sun and still won... A real waster of course

39% is appalling when the only MEP with a lower voting record is a guy who is in hospital paralyzed :D

And I would suggest that since we are members of the EU, every single one of them would have an impact on the UK, one way or another.

You could argue 39% is pretty good, but you'd be wrong :D

He campaigned for years for what has yet to be seen as a positive cause and so far has just had negative impacts. He won it with the help of much more influential figures leading the campaign. Many voters who bought his faux facts and promises have since expressed their dissatisfaction with the outcome.

Yes he won the vote but what good has that done? Nothing so far

And people say the same about MPs.

Haha, he hasn't saved a thing.
The only thing he's done is hook people like yourself in with sound-bite driven tosh and dash the country against the rocks. The best thing to come from this whole debacle will be the fact he'll fade into obscurity now he's got what he 'wanted', though I'm not quite sure what that was :p

Which was always his intention... But hey don't let the facts cloud your ever so sagacious thought

Haha

Hardly noble, so far it has resulted in nothing good.

It would be far easier to argue that he is petty and spiteful to the point where he would sabotage his own job so he can say 'look who's laughing now'

Nothing good?

Where are Putins tanks?

Doom and gloom. All because most people say no to the EU the more vocal and as it happens minority are continuing this unwarranted diatribe. Believe in Britain as much as you do the EU and we wil be fine
