Bad CGI
Ridiculous laws of physics as usual.

Plus actual plot stuff:

A "Nutron bomb" goes off in Rome. Vin Diesel uses his amazing physics brain to calculate that if he drives up and in to a crane and smashes it, the counterweight will hit the bomb in to the river. SUCESS! He drives very fast to escape the blast radius. All the police cars behind him get caught up by it. We see construction workers and other people literally on the bridge 15 seconds before the huge explosion.

Then we hear on the news that "no lives were claimed" because I guess you can't be a hero if people die?!

"Mia and Brian are safe" - Then later Mia is babysitting Doms son at their unprotected house?! Well not completely as Dom asks his bro to transport his son to Portugal for reasons and he turns up just at the right time! Phew

'Cypher' somehow hacking a medical control centre in a blackops site using the controls on a gurney whilst handcuffed.

John Cena thinking the safest place to keep Doms son, is in a car loaded with tons of explosive shells...

The jump from Dante's car to Doms car.

Gal Gadot apparently being alive all this time.
Same with Letty (Died in 4, alive in 5/6)
Han (Died in 3, Re-died in 7 but it was Deckard this time, Fast 9 says it was all a magic trick)
Owen Shaw died in 6, was back in 8

etc etc. I'm sure John Cena won't be dead despite the massive explosion, and of course the people on the plane that Dante/Jack Reacher blew up will be fine as well

Despite all that, it was still somehow better than Fast 9.

You're forgetting to mention that they seem to have the ability to teleport their cars around the world.

Exactly - moaning about the laws of physics is just lol.. I'm sure some would prefer Vin Diesel's car to clip the kerb and then him wait an hour for the AA to change tyres.. if you dont like the direction post Fast 4 steer clear lol.. :D

In answer to the earlier post the Statham scene (and the post credit scene) are set up for Hobbs and Shaw 2..

Also, just watching it now. Why the **** is Dom's son black? Neither him or The mother (Elsa Pataky) are black.

But there we go, it's Fast N Furious. Where all logic is defied :cry:
 
I didn't mind it so much as a gormless action movie, but I'm not sure I'm sticking around for part 2 of this storyline. I haven't seen some of the earlier ones including the one with Dante's Father. One of my main gripes would be all the **** poor CGI - fire in particular, which spoilt some of the car flipping action.
 
Honestly... one of the weakest f&f films for me if I'm being honest... far too long for what it was and in all honesty feels like they're just trying to milk it with 2 films instead of 1.

Jason Mamoa strangely worked really well as his character....
Statham... got a feeling this is going to be finished off in the next film or totally forgotten about
The CGI was absolutely rubbish, yeah it's pretty obvious what is real and what isn't real these days but my god was the CGI bad.
The usual laws of physics being ignored...
So anyone know why it lasts nearly 2.5 hours and in all honesty doesn't do much....
Realistically the movie could have been made without 90% of the usual 'family' being involved.....

Death isn't a thing in f&f family.... so I'm betting John Cena will be back at some point (actually a 'side story' movie might work....), like the other ones who have returned.
That neutron bomb was incredibly weak when it exploded and at the same time had an incredibly strong shell... heavy impacts and fire are clearly not good for a huge bomb..
Dom's dodge charge has some of the best suspension, alloys and tyres I have ever seen on ANY vehicle....
Are we sure Dwayne Johnson is not the actual father of Dom's child... the skin tone of the son made no sense to me either.

John Cena "Death Scene" Was probably the most stupid thing i have seen in the series.

I also want to know what convoluted trash they come up with of how Gal Gadot is still alive.. :cry: I Hope she is a cyborg.. Or an alien...

I can also see something else happening... Jason Mamoas dad isnt actually dead.. He turned to the good side and faked his death so he could join Mr Nobody in ridding the world of threats including Jack Reacher! :cry:

tbh the first 2 acts were bad, but weirdly it kinda of got ok towards the end? dunno its not great even for F&F.

Yes ofc everyone is used to stupid physics, but I always felt the previous films at least tried to be clever with it. Here its just the same old, wire grabbing car flinging, press the button to go faster nonsense. The highlight is no doubt Momoa.

But I think that might be it...there is nothing new or original here outside of the limited screen time he actually gets.

She's not wrong but it was the performance that the series needed. If they had another straight-up villain then FastX would have been absolutely unbearable. I love the fact Momoa's character is totally taking the **** out of the whole series and everyone knows apart from Vin :p
