Favourite Beer?

After spending last weekend in munich at oktoberfest my new favourite beer is Augustiner but you cant get it in the UK love nor money :(

So back to the old favourite of Henley gold which is from a local brewery to me :)

Grimbergen Blonde at any time of year (any Leffe fans should try it) in a bottle

I'm quite a fan of Leffe, both Blonde and Brun, but I do tend to enjoy the Brun just a little bit more, however, I'll give the Grimbergen a try, thanks.:) I'm also partial to Well's Bombardier, Theakston's Old Perculiar and Guinness, which is what I drink when I'm out on the town as the other's usually aren't that widely available on tap, although a few places here and there do do cask Bombardier these days.

In terms of lagers, I do enjoy enjoy a few on a hot summer's day, such as San Miguel, Peroni, and Miller Genuine Draft from bottles. In term's of draught beers, I can't abide Carling, Fosters or Stella. I was however quite suprised to find that I do like Beck's Vier. It seems a bit more refined than the others, and IIRC, the reason being that it's triple distilled.

Guinness when out with the lads normally and quite like the ease at which bottles of Super Bock slide down when the weather is nice outside.

It's available in 'Dubbel' as well as blonde, which is a brown beer. :) Both are usually available when you can find it, oop north that's mainly the bigger Tescos and most Sainsburys.

Sorry, I did mean filtered. I'm in work ATM, thus playing the alt-tabbing game of cat & mouse with the boss.

Oh I know that game so well!!

On topic - Mines a draught Guinness, where its nice, if not I'll generally go for Hoegaarden or Stella.

Stella or Guinness in the pubs as it seems to taste the same in every pub other beers can taste very different which makes me suspicious .

Bottled carlsberg is nice as is Stella .

That's very strange I find that Stella can vary hugely (and I've always been told that Guinness outside Ireland just tastes wrong when compared to within), sometimes it is probably because the lines need cleaned properly but it does vary in taste from pub to pub and if it doesn't then that is probably more worrying than a beer that does taste different.
