Favourite Jailbroken Applications

It's quite possible to drop back to 4.0.1, there are many guides around showing how to achieve this. However, you can only do so I'm pretty sure, if you have previously Jailbroken your handset and backed up your SHSH blobs. I'm guessing you haven't if it is a new phone?.

I use on iOS4.0.1 iPhone:

3G Unrestrictor
Safari download manager
iFile

Waiting for iOS4 compatible:
Yourtube
Quickscroll 2

Has anyone tried Auto3G in Cydia yet? I think this could become an essential app.

Basically it shuts off your 3G when your phone locks/autolocks, and then switches 3G on again when you unlock/swipe your phone. Potentially saving you loads of battery life. Apparently it works quite well, and only takes 1-2 seconds to reactivate 3G. You could just use sbsettings to manually do this though. Also I think its a little overpriced for what it is.

if you have the macosmovil repo you can get it for free off cydia, i have it and it seems to work quite well.

Re: Auto3G

I have been using it today for testing. So for the whole working day so far I have only lost 3% battery since its being installed. Which I think is damn good. Not that I had battery problems before. This just makes battery life even better.

Only issues I have is that sometimes (on a few occasions) the 3G does not activate. Most of the time it does so almost instantly. The icon also sucks big time. Will have to change it myself or hide it in a folder.
