Maybe the OP should have given a gaming type fps/rpg etc.

Best fps was COD4 but everything else was Deus ex followed by BG2 for a RPG , closely follwed by Planetscape Torment which was awesome for a RPG, if anyone could get story telling like that again it would be awesome with the latest grapics engine.
