The MOHAA days (plus the expansions) were definitely the best for me, both SP and MP.

Half Life - Got it for christmas the year it was released. Will never forget my first play through!

Other all times faves are Duke nukem 3d, Deus Ex series and Command and conquers early games.

Cant forget the entire lucasarts back catalogue either!

UO. Ultima Online.

For sheer scope, freedom of choice, groundbreaking design, community, scale and depth. Unrivalled.
