Favourite RPG game of all time?

It's a difficult choice between Diablo II and Titan Quest.

Diablo II has the better story, and there's something about it that makes it legendary. However, the Diablo II graphics are extremely outdated which is why I prefer to play Titan Quest these days.

If I had to choose one, it'd be Diablo II.

I also really enjoyed Oblivion (still need to complete the expansion actually).

If you count MMORPGs then it'd have to be Mir 3 :D

Forgot. I should have also added Ultima IV. An immense game at the time and blew me away. Definately in my top 3 with Planescape Torment, Baldurs Gate and Mass Effect... damn that's 4.....

I played Golden Sun before, also really liked that game. I am going to have to try FF7, I am lazy please could somebody name me the platforms that it is on?
Aslo got Chronno Trigger on my DS, great game. My favourite recent game is probably Dragon Quest Hand of the Heavenly Bride. It's like Pokemon, with swords, and an excellent story.

You should give Oblivion and Fallout 3 a go if you enjoyed Mass Effect. I'm currently playing through Mass Effect and the game play is quite similar to Oblivion, apart from the fact that Oblivion doesn't have guns etc. :p

I dont know what Oblivion is, seen pics of it its just a man and horse walking around medieval times, Fallout 3 looks good but they are time consuming for me.

PC + PS1 + PSN

You forget that there are a couple of hardcore FF fans on here :p I think I own a good 6 copies of FFIV (2 SF, 1 SF Easytype, DS, GBA, PS1) and 4 copies of FFVI(2SF, GBA, PS1 - Not yet got the US SNES version :().

edit - 7 copies of FFIV. I also own a GBA pirate copy that I bought off ebay (advertised as legit :()

My apologies then ;) - note my username and my favourite game eh? :P
I spend too much on other useless consumables as I'm a student so I can't collect many Final Fantasy items at the mo... would love an original edition of FF6 though, I loved that so much!

Take your main Mass Effect character, put it in medieval armour with a sword. Instead of shooting monsters, smack them with a sword and block with a shield. Get quests from NPCs, just like in Mass Effect & level up with stats etc.

Fallout 3 is similar as well, set in the 50s I guess. I think Fallout 3 is more free roaming compared to Mass Effect and it has guns.

Sounds interesting whats the best to get the GOTY version?

hehe, I would never have used Mass Effect to explain Oblivion or Fallout 3 :p

Fallout 3 and Oblivion = similar, Only Oblivion is closer to something like Lord of the Rings, with Magic, Swords and Arrows.

And Fallout 3 is a 1950's alternative end to the World War. With Radiations and mutation, and swearing, and old 1950s music. You get guns, Grenades, Melee weapons. You get Perks as you level up too

It Can be played in 3rd person, But so obviously designed to be played 1st person.
