Ferrari launch thread

Yep. As opposed to cars like the McLaren, Williams and Brawn that were a lot lower.

Seems that everyone except McLaren have gone on a route of much higher noses over the last few years which has resulted in a choice this year between a stepped nose, or regressing on nose, tub, floor and airflow development from the last 3 years.

On a side note, Williams should look at their test liveries for inspiration for season liveries. They are always so much better!

From that angle that is one hideous looking car.

I'd love to know what McLaren know or think they know about their lower nose that others don't or have dismissed.

what was the reason behind the cars in 92 having noses that went all the way down to the front wing? Rule limits or just design philosophy.

I wonder if we went back to the early 90s, knowing what we know now about f1 cars (as fans) would we be an asset to any of the teams?

It's not the nose alone.

It's the whole design ethos, McLaren have had low noses for years and the rest of the car is made with that in mind.

From that angle, you can really see how much space there is below the top of the nose!

That nose does look pig ugly.

I think Mercedes GP are defo going for the same style, just look at last years nose, its already half way there.
