FIA confirm Michael Masi removed as race director

This should be deleted in the same manner as the earlier deleted posts, unless we want to be as inconsistent as the FIA.

Fun forum, this!
I didn't delete those posts, but if people think this is legit then they should be banned!

A FIA guy also admitted the race probably would have been voided if appeal went ahead, but of course that would mean Max still champion. Which is what I expected a void result.

Big old asterisk next to that result forever I reckon.
Any mainstream media that is talking about it always ends the sentence with “in controversial circumstances” or mentioning that Masi was later removed as race director. It already has the asterix, RB will never live it down. Max is still a paper champion in my view because if that and all the **** he got away with during the season.

Any news on the inquest that was meant to happen and the results posted before the first race? Only a few days left
Yeah what happened to that?

Re. the safety car rules change and unlapping cars... Why should lapped cars unlap themselves anyway? If someone in P1 has got past all the lapped cars, then there's a safety car that bunches up the field and puts P2 behind them. That already completely takes away a massive advantage (i.e. 15 sec gap) that P1 had created throughout the race. At least with the lapped cars in the way it hinders P2 a little bit (if they're in the way). I don't see the reasoning really. If some race leaders had to lap the cars, then other cars should have to once the race resumes

They all get blue flagged anyway so won't make any real difference so just get in the way.
