Fidelity Super Resolution in 2021

vanguard looks awful just a reskinned MW but each to his own
It's not really about graphics to be honest, it's fast paced MP action where high FPS and low latency are important.

In this scenario it's pretty rare to get Crysis level graphics. Just look at the Battlefield series, Cod MW, BO, Warzone etc.

That said, you still need a GPU with good muscle to produce 120FPS at 4K max settings.

6900 XT is performing well in this game (Vanguard) from what I have seen.

FSR will be interesting for users with lower end GPUs.

I dont meen graphics wise I was refering to gameplay and tedium

once the killstreaks start hitting It loses all apeal and the constant swapping of spawn points in a never ending circle

Cod is like marmite, you either love it or you hate it.

That said, I hate marmite and love COD.

Not talking about Fish, either.

I do play the odd bit of coldwar and do well with decent kd mostly 2-4 but all it makes me think about is counterstrike and but never returning from retirement

its a bit like AA

will stick to battlefield and warzone (if they sort out the wallhackers )

AMD has updated their upcoming FSR games list with No Man's Sky, F1 2021, Edge Of The Abyss Awaken, Myth of Empires and JX3 HD Remake.

I can't actually build it at the moment to test :( keeps stalling on cache generation but there is a new update of Quake 2 RTX coming with initial FSR support.

EDIT: Gonna wait to the official release update as they've changed too much and added some cool features my current build doesn't support without a lot of messing about.

World War Z FSR.

Not played this game myself so cannot comment on it or the FSR implementation, but FSR gets a thumbs up from overclock3d.net.

Snippet from the conclusion:

While FSR cannot deliver the same quality as a natively rendered image, it can deliver higher levels of image quality than World War Z's built-in upscaler. Compared to World War Z's built-in resolution scaler, FidelityFX Super Resolution delivered a sharper final image, less aliasing, and similar performance levels when using the same internal game resolution. That's a clear win for FSR.

Far Cry 6’s FSR implementation is remarkable, making it hard to distiguish between the native and upscaled images. There seems to be a heavy sharpening filter applied which actually makes the image look better with FSR turned on in most cases, the exception being the ocean which gets a checkerboard effect that can be somewhat distracting. Note that CAS will automatically be turned off when FSR is enabled.

There’s an impressive 90% increase in performance when turning FSR on, making the midrange Radeon 6600XT capable of running this game on the 4K LG OLED used for testing at 120hz at playable framerates. The RX 6600XT is incidentally one of the few GPUs currently widely available at not too scandalous prices.

Nice find Shanks, this game runs really well on RDNA2.

Might have to re-download it again and see how FSR is.
