Have you swapped again
Is a Donnie browsing the forum on his phone?
It's in my sig!!!
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
Have you swapped again
You appear to have forgotten which part you quoted and the sentence I was talking about so here is a reminder.the rest of the sentence doesn't contradict the first part. AMD says "FSR is not a DLSS Competitor" . There are not caveats or waivers that will suddenly make that sentence no longer be true.
Straight form the horses mouth. FSR should not be compared to DLSS

I was not really quoting any specific text, I was referring to the entire statement that AMD made. According to AMD, FSR is not a competitor to DLSS. That is a fact, no matter what mental gymnastics you try. If FSR is not a competitor then comparisons don't make sense, whih is why AMD carefully only worked with Devs on old games with no DLSS support, preventing any side by side comparisons.

Waiting on some games updates to try it out.
Not needed on the 6900 XT, but the 6700 XT could make use of it at 4K.
AMD can only hide from the comparisons for so long, if FSR was so great to DLSS they would be releasing game support for direct comparison.
I think posters claiming equal or better performance are doing AMD a dis service, this is the first attempt like DLSS 1, a starting point which will hopefully improve over time.
Yeah true, that might be a reasonable use case for 6900 XT
Todays amd solutions are already better than dlss1, lol.
FSR takes it to a next upgraded evolution
So you weren't quoting any specific text yet said "straight from the horses mouth" and the proceed to quote a specific text verbatim. You are now moving goalposts and are accusing others of performing mental gymnastics.
Except some of the game aren't released yet. Nice one.
Also aren't most games that have DLSS Nvidia sponsored titles anyway. Like how games with FSR are AMD sponsored titles.
The Anno game has an upscaling feature which I think is what was used in the video you reference.Apparently not in Anno18000 tho. It's the only game I've seen FSR tested in so far - the Ultra FSR setting AMD recommends runs no faster than Native and it's the only one with decent image quality, the other settings run up to 40% faster but degrade fast
What on earth is your problem
Did you quote AMD verbatim but cut out a select portion of said quote that was inconvienent to the point you were trying to make in your original post that i was responding to Yes or No?Did AMD state that FSR is not a competitor to DLSS, yes or no?
Speaking of rabid fanboi's, where's 4K when you need him
So you've switched tactics to a more passive aggressive style, with a hint of "sarcastic" sympathy. Not bad.
