They liked it, promising.PC Gamer did some testing: https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/amd-fidelityfx-super-resolution-tested-benchmarks/
FSR delivers a very consistent experience. We saw no bugs or flaws or weird image artefacts. It just works.
So basically:
- FSR doing very well in terms of retaining IQ at 4k, better than dlss 1 but not quite as good as dlss 2.0/2.2
- DLSS better for lower sourced resolutions i.e. 1080 and 1440
- no motion issues introduced because of FSR, however, there will be ghosting/motion issues if the game is using TAA
- as expected, doesn't help with AA artifacts such as shimmering/jaggies where as dlss does since dlss replaces the usual AA methods
- Performance uplift seems similar but can't say for sure since this is based on different games
Did better than I was expecting tbh, just a shame it isn't added to the games where it matters the most but hopefully that changes going forward.
Still not working.I missed off performance so I've just reuploaded them above.
EDIT.
