Well I don't mind becoming a bit more of a regular defender but it might take me a week to get my defensive stats up a bit more. I would also like to have a few games in a more attacking role every now and again if we can mix it up a bit :D

Yeah I think that's fair. Everybody should get a chance to play where they want now and again. Me and a few others are on now by the way. :)
 
The thing is everybody wants to be the top scorer and everybody wants to keep getting shot after shot. Defending is sometimes boring but it's still important and I think we should all share the less desirable positions around so that it isn't just one person stuck doing them all the time. We aren't some uber pro team, we're just doing it for a laugh and even though it's great to win, it still isn't the be all and end all, if someone who normally defends wants to have a go at attacking then let them. :)
 
Well then I'm all for putting positions down. I'll play on the Right Wing, so that's RM, but if we're in the dressing room and somebody else does want a go then I don't mind sharing the defending at all. Bap, I don't think that the winger position is that bad, but I do think you need to stop complaining as much, especially last night, it was unbearable at times. We are just doing this for fun, we aren't even part of a league, you should let people play how they want, and let them pass to who they want too. I'm all for voicing your frustration, but after every single wayward pass or incomplete dribble it gets a little tiresome. I think a couple on here would agree too but are a bit afraid to say so. I've also changed our kit because there were a fair few people that were getting a bit bored of having to play in the stupid pink novelty kit, and seeing as it's my club then I think I'm alright to make that decision.

I'm not sure about only having 3 defenders. We seem a bit vulnerable on the counter attack and I reckon that having 5 midfielders will only mean that we have 5 people pushing up on top of the 2 strikers. I see what you mean though, nobody enjoys playing LB/RB but I think we definitely need them there just for the extra cover.

I'm all about democracy though so if a few people want this formation change then that's fine by me. I think it's important that everybody has a good time first and then if we win that's a bonus. :)

That's alright mate, I wasn't just trying to have a go at you on a personal level or anything, and I know we all like winning and it's pretty annoying when we lose/don't play well. It was just a completely different side of you because every night you've been a great laugh and a top bloke but last night it was like a switch was flipped and you turned into this grumpy old codger! :p

Go to Xbox live ---> Pro Club Championship ---> Search For A Club ---> the name of the club is OCUKPwnz ---> the club will appear when you've pressed search ---> Choose the "request to sign for club" option.

We should have some kind of spreadsheet as suggested above. Also, we have so many players that there are bound to be duplicates. So I don't know of anybody who is good at doing spreadsheets but what we need to do is give them our preferred positions. Later on I will possibly make a new thread for player positions/team tactics etc because this one is getting a little crowded now. :)

My VP is an RB and is pretty damn good at it, ~85 standing & sliding tackle and I'm never beaten in the air. ;)

That must be because you do such a good job that we don't even realise you're there! We certainly noticed earlier when we had the dreadful AI for a game. :(

Yeah, you have to use your virtual pro in these games. If you create a striker then it can play in any position apart from GK, but it will still have the stats that it's earned as a striker, so it probably won't be an effective defender until you've played a few matches with it. The other day we had about 8 out of 10 of the team as strikers, so we've had a reshuffle and seem to have more players as CB's and MID's now. Also, once you've created your player you can still go back at any time and change any of the attributes you've given them, even position.

By the way people, I've changed our kit to the Seattle Sounders, they have a really nice home and away jersey. :)

That game was mental, the goal celebration they were doing was bloody weird!

Does anybody know who 'RIKO TURBO' is?

He's annoyed me royally tonight. Now, before I begin, I gave the ball away a few times, I know that, I tried a skill move a few times when I should have passed but for 80% of the time I just made the safe pass. He didn't make a safe pass all night. He dawdled on the ball for ages, tried skill moves 90% of the time even when playing as a defender and generally cost more goals than he scored.

I'm not for singling anybody out normally and I'm sure he's a nice bloke, but damn, please play for the team and not for yourself. In the last game I played he cost every goal because of his ineptitude at clearing and his unwillingness to just make the easy play instead of trying to shimmy past everything. Now, I wasn't perfect I know, but at least I'm a team player, and at least I will pass to an open team mate 85% of the time. The thing that wound me up quite a bit though was when he was party leader in the last match. The other time were still selecting their formations and kick takers, so he decided to ready, unready, ready, unready, ready, unready. That does not give other teams a good impression of us, it makes them think we are impatient and quite cocky.

Like I said a few times I'm not perfect, but so far almost everybody has been trying to play for the team, if we all play as a team then we'll start winning way more matches than we already are. Also, the whole " I claim X " needs to be sorted. People are saying they will play in a certain position and then some randomer comes in who plays 1 game a week and takes said spot from the regular. I think we need to put the spreadsheet thing into action and I think tomorrow sometime I'll be opening a new thread so that I can get all the information down in it.

Anyway, with all said and done I had some good games tonight and it's nice that this is a regular thing, we now have over 35 members as well which is enough for 3 full teams and a half team. :o
 
I think that if we've got 12 or 13 players on then really we need 6 in one room and 6 or 7 in the other. That way everybody gets to be a striker or midfielder and they can have a heck of a lot more fun. Also, it stops everyone from just pressing down on the d-pad and robbing all the good positions. I'm set as a midfielder, and I'm usually playing on the wings in my games, but in all fairness yesterday I did play 3 or 4 games in the different rooms as an LB.

Just to re-iterate my point though. If we've got a game room with a full 10 players in, but then the dressing room only has say 2 players in, we need to be sending some of the game room players into the dressing room so that those guys can join up and play in game room 2. That way everyone gets way more chances to play in their favourite positions. When there's 10 of us all talking at the same time saying they will take up 'X' position then it's very easy for one or two to take others positions without realising.
