But on a serious note...im trying to convince myself its all confidence. I used to try to let them make a move but now im trying to just run full speed at their feet quite often and spam circle....i feel im makng "some" progress. I dont think the people running at you want you to just try to snatch it off their feet...they want you to try to play it safe and do silly dances near you. I am just trying to be hugely careful of that fast/heavy touch to the left or right that an get them such an easy 1v1 chance...im trying really hard to avoid this. As i said earlier today......i am moving more and more towards agile CBs to try and cope, rather than the traditional 90 strength, 75 pace, 50 agility type of CBs that used to kick ass. I suspect thaigo silva will be amazing this year tbh.

Rusty! I was using Cavani as CM last night....i was worried without his high/high and downgraded tackling that it wouldnt work, but he is still amazing there. He can't half run at their back line too

I read negative comments above and understand where people are coming from totally BUT fifa 14 was soooooooo badI am very confident ill never miss that pile of OP crossing/headers horse@@@@ in a million years !!
The amount of times id play so well...score lots of nice goals and then conceed literally 3 or 4 corner headers and lose 4-3....who would ever want that back :/
They've just altered how you play and we're back to basics, the flavour of the year in FIFAs terms. I like playing online but after a few games yesterday both on UT and seasons I found myself frustrated.
This year is about high pressure because your players seem to turn into awesome defenders regardless of stats, fast players and just exploiting dumb AI.
They may have sorted the crossing where a 5 foot player was as tall as a 6"4 player but in reality they've made it very unrealistic to play down the sides as they are always marked.
Long short, FIFA is not a balanced game of football. It manipulates how you play to allow you to win - this way is not how I like to play so it's highly annoying and a very EA way of doing things. They don't need to change much because people still throw money at them, I got my game free but they would have still benefitted from my money.
I got PES 14 and it was a big improvement over the previous year and because of gameplay, this new one looks very good and I cannot wait.

When this is happening I can do a ping test and everything looks ok...
It just seems when playing fifa I will get this weird slowdown and then if I go to the UI that is acting really slow...
e.g. the friendslist doesn't show any photos or names for around 1 minute before they are displayed....

Ttimbrad, I wasnt so sure on pogba either really...but i slightly regret not even trying him at CAM
The problem with players like pogba in Serie A is that they are just not needed imo. There are so many amazingly cheap players with high/high workrates....it just feels like a league very well suited to 41212 with hamsik as CAM to me.
Yep , absolutely, with Guarin, Marchisio & Pogba all being 4* skills now, that gives me 3 immediated choices to flank De Rossi when needed, although Muntari is holding hiw own & Hernanes is just insane as usual, long shots for days
We need to have those much talked about games soon dude!!

I had some kid on the verge of tears this morning as I beat him 5-1, I was feeling really guilty as I know what it's like to get frustrated at the game, and he really did sound like he was going to cry. He then started calling me 'sweaty' and calling me names for not speaking over the microphone.
At one point he over commited a defender and I slotted a through ball into, I think it was Kagawa, who scored. He had so much space to run into because of the other player's terrible defending. He said it was a sweaty goal. I'm sorry, but you cannot just blame other people for conceeding goals all the time, he defended badly, and I punished him. I told him to calm down, you win some you lose some, and to not give up. Hopefully he got the message but I doubt it.
I don't understand people who complain about pacey players. They're available to everyone! You're more than welcome to buy them yourself. Do people complain when Gareth Bale in real life out runs two or three players to score? Is that unfair?
Maybe there should be a mode where everyone has the exact same team, formation, and tactics, then people can stop moaning.

4* skills on CMs isn't really *that* important...?
Swapped out Soldado for Jovetic yesterday and had a few games with him - WOW!!!!! 
The difference is like night and day - so much stronger, quicker, more accurate - in fact I'd go so far as to say better than Lewandowski that I tried on loan!!!
Also, Barkley at CAM is superb! There is no way he's a 78 rated player imo!!!
