FIFA 18

Some games are going well for me, others not. The first touches seem very delayed and dodgy since the patch, not always, but sometimes.

Think I'm going to get De Gea/Sergio Ramos/Casemiro and Marcelo in, Vidal is good but Nainggolan (untradeable) is similar and they don't seem to function as effectively together, I want midfielders who hang back a bit more and are taller. I've actually conceded a couple of goals as a direct result of midfielders being too short.

Boateng is meh, decent but not as good as Prime Rio, and I've not tried Ramos.

Modric at CAM is pretty good though, much better than at CM, he reminds me of Prime Rui just weaker.

De Gea is just insane, he pulls off the most ridiculous saves against me, and considering you're bound to concede shots, not having him is a definite negative it seems.
 
19/21 for me this week but winning was no more enjoyable than losing. Squad Battles is so much more rewarding to play because as OP as the AI is there's far more variety in the teams and style of play.
 
Finished 23-17, massively annoying as I should have 3 more wins on that list.

Did some untradeable OTW SBCs, went Kessie > Traore > Hernandez > Aurier > Bonucci. Will take that, although he's not getting in my team right now.
 
I must say I'm enjoying the game a lot more after this patch, possibly because I've won most of my games, only had the one which I've lost and felt like I didn't deserve to, the guy even messaged saying that was lucky, anyone noticing how you can just sprint through on goal zig-zagging sort of FIFA 13 style now?
 
Yeah it's sort of always been there but it seems even easier to do it now, wouldn't mind the world cup mode again but unsure of how much I'll be playing when we have our 3 days of summer.
 
Thinking of trying out special Giroud at CAM for the next WL.

Anyone using or used him? Thoughts? Not much pace but strength and a great long shot could negate that.

He had a silly record (2.2 goals per game iirc) for me back when I was using him when I played WL regularly, his left foot finishing is up there with the best on the game and CAM is definitely the right spot for him, some players will read what you’re trying to do with him straight away though so don’t try and force it onto his left all the time, just let it fly when you find space naturally.
 
Just qualified for my first weekend league!!

The final was the easiest game.. .game 1 went to penalties etc and he got really unlucky .

Then in the final van basten missed a 6 harder on his left foot on the volley (with a plus 6 card) lol...won 2-1...

Lol yeah but it s better than losing 3 dko semi finals in a row as I did last time a couple of weeks agooo!

And now if I can swipe 11 wins I stay in it! I’m looking forward to it!!:eek::eek::D:D

If Dalbert ever plays and gets an IF he's going to he amazing and a SIF Tomovic would be epic
