Least your defenders do something when you don't control them! I conceded a goal yesterday, VVD trying to tackle, gets bundled over onto the ground and while he's on the ground I can't switch to either Maldini or Robertson who are basically right next to the ball. They just stand there the AI doesn't move them, VVD is rolling around I'm smashing L1 and hitting the right stick but nothing happens so I'm just left to watch one of their players casually jog up to the loose ball and smash it in.
 
Just got Gold 2 with my last game.
17-13

Last week I was 17-9 and the week before 17-8, this weekend has been real painful.
And all this for guaranteed Serie A TOTS in my red picks. Last week my red picks were so bad I ended up taking LigaNOS players over the Bundesliga ones!
 
Well that's wrote me off. Last game 22-7 play a Ronaldo Gullit god squad and got beat after leading twice in 117th min both aid goals lol what a joke.

From 20-3 to 22-8 oh man I'm disappointed and the teams I had to beat to get there even more so.

The Clunksters did okay though I guess

17-10. I took Pigeon's advice this weekend and actually dedicated some time to the game rather than playing stupid hours and rushing ****. I didn't rage quit any neither but didn't see much difference in the quality of the players I played.

A couple of drubbings but other than that close games.

Ironically, the red pics I can actually use, Simon and Rafa are both on the bench and do a lot better than the players I invested in SBC wise, Sane and Bergwijn, they're just impossible to get in a team so will remain super subs. Obviously their pace is mental but shooting wise they're beasts.

Not bad going with this avg team compared to everyone I play. In game

A lot of people think a rage quit doesn't count so you stay at the same ELO whereas playing the full game and losing definitely lowers it.

The team you use certainly helps though, I reckon Messi and an early goal or two is enough for people to quit straight away against me, your team might give people more hope of getting back in the game although not when you're 6-1 up :p

Just realised last week when the gameplay was virtually unplayable I went 8-6 at the start to this week going 20-3.

Really does highlight the importance of good gameplay and makes me wander how much of a lottery the game is.

I pretty much compensate for poor gameplay now so when it's good, I make more mistakes as it feels so different.

Yeah I kind of do too, the Friday was terrible for gameplay and last week was a complete write off.

The fact that I lose close games due to server or ai error just demotivates me. The P2W teams get the extra luck and it's disgusting. Ive had two 22 win weekends since TOTS and genuinely don't think I'd ever manage that 23 with my coin balance and connection sad.

That's a big reason why I play all mine on Sunday now. From early Sunday morning until around 12-12:30pm the servers feel amazing and then later on Sunday evening you get more rage quits as people try and cram their remaining games in. Obviously I'm mad and most people wouldn't do that but I don't think I'm good enough to get Gold 2 if I played on Friday or Saturday. I also spend far less time playing overall, probably 6-7 hours in total.

Edit: Promes and Paulinho have just made red picks way more interesting.

Just got De Vrij from my first serie a upgrade pack using untradeables, he’s only 100k on the market but a nice 95 rated player for the club!
 
First game of Rivals, 7-0 forfeit at HT. Almost back down to Division 10 again.

Edit: 3-0 down in my next game after 9 minutes and now in Division 10.

Edit: 14 games and I've got my first draw of the evening. 2 hours well spent.

Are you doing it on purpose or are just totally rubbish at Fifa?
 
I just had two games in a row (but first was the worst) where my players can't run, can't pass, can't shoot, can't tackle (or when they do it bounces right back to them) and can't intercept a ball that almost touches them and as for my GK, all he did was mis-place goal kicks and throws, don't think he made a save that was right at him and I think he missed a couple of those. Meanwhile they're scoring weakfoot shots from outside the area through a box of players.

2nd game was better, but I made about 3x the chances that he did and he won 2-1.

Well funny enough it was my weekend to work so I crammed 18 games in Sunday which maybe the reason for better gameplay.

Also I did a few player pick packs and got Promes :D

Question for you guys

Promes and gold Mbappe for LAM / RAM
Or Vardy and Traore (TOTS)
Or Promes and Odegaard TOTS

Think I'm gonna build a Libertadores/Colombia team to play around with, only sticking point is Tevez who's still a little too much for me at 230k or so. Very few on the market either...
