FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 **spoilers** [20th July - 20th August 2023]

Excellent, some of the US womens team are insufferable smug *****.

Turns out, once the rest of the world starts taking womens football seriously you aren't quite the mustard you thought you were eh?

VAR took an absolute age there. Shes clearly stopped and initiated contact and dived. Never a penalty.
What is the difference though between that and a defender running towards the corner flag, stopping and throwing him\herself to the ground and always being awarded a freekick, if it's a freekick outside the box it should be a penalty inside the box and this is where the issue is for me with officials 2 different decisions from the same situation

Nothing...that shouldnt be a foul either imo. Her theatrical dive doesnt help her cause.

She’s had her head in the clouds all game tbh, shades of Rooney against Portugal.

England have been poor all game but the ref has been just as bad, several times England players have been pulled back and no card seen

I think England are going out unfortunately. What a pity the ball didn't go in the goal after that corner and brilliant header earlier, that would have sealed a win for England I think.
