FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 **spoilers** [20th July - 20th August 2023]

James' ban upgraded to two games. Rightly so tbh.

Apparently she didn't mean to do it. Lovely girl. Wouldn't say boo to a goose.

I'm sure she is a lovely girl but she 100% meant to do that in the heat of the moment.

Rightly so would have been a 3 match ban surely, but as I predicted above they don't want one of the stars of the tournament from one of the favourite teams with probably one of the biggest fan bases / sponsorship markets missing in the final should England get that far.

Glad Japan didn't score, that was a joke giving a penalty for that dive.

E: Sweden been a lot more impressive today.

E: E: Except for that shocking defending lol

Sweden good for the win but sad to see Japan go out, they've been my favourite team to watch, by far the most entertaining.

Does mean a new name on the trophy!

Great shootout, had everything. Even the misses were pretty close calls, several hit the woodwork. Highlight was definitely the save, retake, save or the short hair French player having a meltdown on the sideline every time one of her teammates missed.

Random question...but who ones the TV right etc?...BBC keeps talking about the games but they dont seem to be able to even show a small big of footage from the game.

Awesome shootout thought Aussies deserved to win, shame Aussie keeper missed to win it would have been a good ending. She a great shot stopper though now on to England.
