Rooney sucks the defender in, instead turns towards goal(nearish half way line) instead of driving forwards he checks back then crosses the all to Johnson... seriously? Pass the midfield player and then back off to let him back in, then a pointless cross field ball.

The trouble with Rooney playing deep is, as ever he's ******** **** creatively. When he has space, he doesn't drive in to it anymore, complete waste of space.
 
Definitly need some changes, if they come out 2nd half doing exact same thing it would be utterly stupid - anything no matter how bad is better than something that flat out isn't working.
 
Take off Rooney and welbeck, put Shaw left back, push Baines to left wing, keep Sterling wide and put Lambert on up with Sturridge, or Lallana is a decent option to play deeper.

Current team is rubbish, Rooney even worse in the middle than out wide.... who'd have guessed that.
 
What's happens when they play a proper decent team such as the Dutch or ze Germans.

Actually have to wonder if it was worth the expense to fly out there.
 
Uruguay captain should already be off, they need to run at him and draw a third yellow card offence.

Shocking defending for the Suarez goal, were any of the back four where they should have been?
 
I don't see how people think we played well against Italy. Our entire strategy was to "give the ball to Raheem" and consisted of run run and do nothing.

I almost want us to get kicked out until the last of this useless "golden generation" are gone and we get a manager who has the balls and the ability to actually manage an international team. Hodgson doesn't react to anything that happens in the game and his insistence on running Rooney on the left wing just so he can have Welbeck, Sturridge and Rooney on at the same time is insane to the point of disbelief. Running Rooney on the left is leaving Baines completely on his own defensively which isn't even his strong point in the first place. And don't even get me started on how little I rate Johnson. He ran away from Cavani for their goal and let him get that beautiful cross in without even a whimper. Completely useless and I can't wait till he's gone.

Uraguay should be down to 10 men for sure but it's a shame that a crap England team is going to be using that to justify getting trashed out of the WC at the end of this game.
