Gerard has been the worst player on the pitch by a mile, bottled the tackle that led to their goal, **** passing and just completely anonymous. Don't even see him gee'ing up the players. Get him off! Sturridge hasn't been much better though none of them really have.

They should have had a red but putting that aside it's sad to say we played a million times better in the Italy game. We look disinterested, it must be tactical (though god alone knows why) that is stopping us wanting to push on.

Disgraceful performance.
 
Just stuck £50 on Uruguay to win, returns £96. Seems unreal value to me.

Good thing is when I outright back teams, they lose.
 
Just watched that goal replay again and Glen Johnson running away from Cavani really annoyed me. I cannot put into words how much I hate that player, he's so overrated it's ridiculous. For the love of god get Walker or Richards in the team instead of him.

Get Shaw at left back and put Baines at left wing and get Lambert on for Rooney. Please, please please change something or this is going to end as it's started.

Problem is age old, England are scared to push on. Very rarely has either full back pushed on with any conviction or quality. England are getting swamped in midfield and can't keep possession. Doesn't help when Jags and Cahill hoof it back up the pitch at the first opportunity and lose possession

Lambert needs to come on precisely to keep hold of the ball, a role he played brilliantly for Southampton.

No way Lallana can come on and be worse than Welbeck, Lallana can at least play football.

Why so much hate for Rooney?

Sterling/Sturridge have been as bad, if not worse, the midfield is crap and the defence is even worse yet it's all Rooney's fault!
 
Some of the support for the team is a bit pathetic. As soon as things go a bit sour you all got bat crazy arm chair managers. Jesus leave it for after the game.:o

Getting really annoyed with this "well, were 1-0 down but it's because they're playing well and were unlucky to be behind." From commentators etc.

They're playing rubbish... Slow on the ball and again, rubbish in the last third! England seem to have an inability to play attacking football, gets so frustrating, shouldn't really watch it anymore.
 
I have to admit I didn't realise Henderson was even playing until towards the end of the half. He hasn't done anything bad enough to be mentioned but neither has he been good enough. The lack of meaningful ball movement from defence to attack is on him and Gerrard mostly.
 
Jesus this is pathetic.... Rooney plays wide left "you have to play him centrally, and you have to play him"..

Glenn Hoddle and Dixon "rooney is playing tooo centrally..........." even though he's been wide quite often and when he was supposed to be wide left he spent most of the game in the middle.

It's almost like they are just idiots who don't know what they are talking about. Rather than just say "rooney's crap drop him" they make excuses and say he should be in a different position. Surprisingly playing an out of form player and said player refusing to stick to his role, is not helping England.
