FIFA World Cup 2014 - GROUP D [Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy - 14/19/20/24 June] **spoilers**

Shocking tackle, for a friendly that is a horrendous tackle, and yes, Valencia's reaction was not good though it's a bit of a pansy reaction.

That tackle is neither shocking, or horrendous. A bit reckless yes, but that's never in a million years been a red, friendly or not.

The only thing horrendous is the ref sending him off.

That's an awful decision, Sterling did little wrong.

Valencia, yes - but I'd think a booking for the tackle was harsh.

Wait...didn't Rooney score 17 goals in 20 odd games last season and 7 in qualifiers?

Without those goals there's a good chance we wouldn't be going to Brazil at all. He's got a 1 in 2 record for Man Utd...he isn't overrated.

Now Now, don't let the facts get in the way of some sensationalist clap trap, this is OcUK Football Stadium afterall ;)

Horrible tackle, no, naive tackle by a youngster who wants to impress, yes.

Deffo red for Valencia though.

Did anyone see oxlaide.chamberlain complete a pass tonight ?

I just seen ten seperate slow motion replays of him taking it past a couple of players then losing possession

It was a scissor tackle and a yellow and a stern telling off imo, Valencia should never have reacted like that though but in fairness, it is a friendly you shouldn't be flying into tackles like that.

If you're going to get sent off, at least floor him.

Scissor tackle. Utterly awful tackle that could have broken valencias leg.

I totally understand why the red mist came down; that could have ended his world cup

wtf is wrong with valencia? scum.

Sterling should do him for assault.

Its only a ****ing friendly

It's a friendly, yes, but a friendly one week before the World Cup. I can understand Valencia not being particularly happy with that tackle.

19 goals and 300k a week? I'd call that both overpaid and overrated. No reason to play him on both friendlies when the rest of the team was changed

How is that tackle "little wrong"? Both feet off the ground. Could have broken Valencia's lef of he had more weight on it. At least a yellow.
