Did Sol Camp bell ever bother with friendlies? :D I imagine the list of players that have cried off friendlies for England when there has been nothing wrong with them would be pages long.

It would be nice if Gerrard actually did have a 'poorly back' mid week and missed countless friendlies for that **** team.
 
Is this the same steven Gerrard who flicked thr ball onto Suarez and ine foreign paper refused to give a match rating to he was that bad?

Looking at the results of all the group stages so far, England's group does seem to be one of the most difficult if not the most difficult. Belgium had it easiest it seems.

I think people are right about england's players have the least to prove, you can see the same in some other teams like italy but for some reason that same lack of interest does not seem to affect germany or netherlands. I think its just excuses end of day for rubbish players and rubbish team.
 
Only Bayern Munich players (9) have scored more goals than Manchester United players (7) so far at this years World Cup.

Funniest part is he isn't even building for the future he is just giving everyone a game. Funniest part is pretending to build for the future and giving Foster a game! Caps for his mates! Sack the useless ****.
 
Yeah just saw that, it's like when kids play in their local school league - coach has to sub everyone on at least once to keep the mum and dad's happy :D

I think it's more giving the players in the squad WC experience, playing them in a dead rubber game. It doesn't mean anything so why not give them a run out seeing as they have been sat on their arses for 2 weeks.
 
Well considering he said (and I paraphrase slightly) "the Costa Rica game is where we start building for the Euros" and he then selects Foster, Lampard, Milner?

If that's the future shoot me now, but I would suggest it is more likely he is paying lip service as usual and just not having a clue.

If he is selecting for the future you would have Sterling, Forster and Ox.

He's no stupid enough to select a completely inexperienced side. If they got battered it would do more harm than good, Sterling and Ox have had plenty of time.

Glad to see it has only taken a week for the 'it must be the managers fault' mentality to return.... I had hoped that after this particular failure people may start to understand that the English game needs fundamental changes in order to bring our players up to the same technical level as our international rivals. Nevermind, see you in X years time when I'm sure you will also be calling for the head of whichever sap they can convince to take on the job!
