I think its likely as he benefits nothing from it, he barely hurts the person and he doesn't get to do what he loves and loses a lot of money and gets a lot of abuse.

I don't know, I'd recommend him not playing ever again :p
 
It's basically assault. Biting, headbutting, punching crosses the line really. O
It would soon be pretty much iradicated if treated as a criminal matter for the courts to try and punish.
 
I am not for taking on field actions to court, but in this case I hope the Italian chap goes for it. None of us would be kept out of nichk for doing that so why should he.

I think one of the problems is that Suarez seems to be doing this sort of thing with an astonishing regularity. How long can he seriously expect to get away with short bans for biting people? He's not even doing it during a scuffle or anything like that, it seems to be when a ball is played into the box and out of nowhere he just decides bites the nearest player. It's bizarre when you think about it.
 
Given his record, I think a 12 month global ban and a fine in the millions should just about do the trick. He might think twice then. I do think he struggles to control himself, I don't think there's any real premeditation, the red mist just descends and he bites; which is arguably more dangerous as it makes him unpredictable rather than someone who is just a nasty piece of work (which I think is probably the case as well to some extent).

It's a pretty weird situation.
 
Just watched the BBC footage and wow. It's not even like he's tried to hide the fact he's properly gone in worse than the Ivanovic one. Proper tried to eat him. There has to be something fundamentally mentally wrong with him, he needs help.

I've just seen the Ajax/PSV bite. The blokes a ****ing idiot and deserves some kind of massive ban where he has to attend some sort of psychiatric evaluation until he can be released into the public again.

Disagree, Ivanovic one was definitely the best, went at him like a rabid dog
