Seems to me that people are singling out Rooney due to unrealistic expectations placed on him because media outlets have made people believe he is better than he is.

haven't seen much media putting unrealistic pressure on him. Quite the opposite, most don't think he should be there.

Over rated and rediculously over paid.

To be honest I think that is one of the better England World Cup matches i have watched! Still think they will get through to the last 16.

I agree with this. That swerve though!

England played quite well i think. The defense wasn't great, but neither was Italy's. Italy had just a bit more luck in my opinion.

Darmian played very very well. Didn't expect him to be as good. Sterling was very good too. Maybe give Lambert a go up front?
