FIFA World Cup 2014 - GROUP D [Uruguay, Costa Rica, England, Italy - 14/19/20/24 June] **spoilers**

Doesn't sound like Roy will be changing anything for the next game.

I do still think we can get out of the group though, Italy are far better than Uruguay and Costa Rica, and we did give them a good game of it.

Phil Neville is about the worst commentator in football history.

I AM A ROBOT. THIS IS A BALL. WE SHALL KICK IT TO THE ENDS KICK KICK KICK, THE BALL HAS GONE....

Listening to him commentate is like listening to paint dry as well as watching it. Next doors cat has a better personality

Yep then play him in his position or bring him on as a sub in his position when someone you consider is better it tired. He's not a left winger, nevre will be yet he still served a goal up on a plate.

Balotelli by the same token the Italians didn't want in the side with better in form players on the bench. Rooney is an easy player to hate and was no worse than most of the team. Final 3rd just wasn't good enough and he was far from the only one.

But him not being played in his position is somewhat irrelevant when it came to his finishing, as arguably he'd have been in those exact same positions in his "native" position? I'd perhaps want 2 up front, Sturridge and Rooney, but if we're playing one "striker", it's not going to be Rooney over Sturridge. Which probably is why there's so much "err" over whether or not Rooney should be in the first team.

I agree he's not really a winger, and we have better players to put forward as wingers.

.... Then play him in position then. He's not a bloody winger.

Agree he's not a winger, but that doesn't change his end finishing (Which he'd arguably have been in the same position, had he been playing his native position)

Dunno what to say really. :(

I think we should Sack Everybody. :p Even our ******* Physio got himself injured. + :D =

So basically as long as you run at defenders with a poor end product that's great. But have a quiet game but serve a player up on a plate and you're a mug.

His cross was good, and you can't take that away from his performance.
But the problem was his finishing when he went for shots (The thing he's paid to do), he could and should have scored. I think he took 3 shots at least, I can't even remember if he hit the target?

Well Sterling played the perfect ball to Rooney, set up an unbelievable chance on a plate which no one arrived too and generally caused problems with good link up play. Then was ****ed and gave the ball away a lot :D

I think England played decent.
Par for the course.
They definitely werent bad.
People should remember that England aren't particularly good and Italy, even when they bring a "weak" team, will generally always make the Semi Finals...somehow.
So the fact that we only lost by 1 goal is not a negative thing.

England fans shouldnt be down-hearted.

There was 1 real Buzz moment though like a Roller coaster when they scored there first goal & we hit straight back, At least that felt good for a minute or so. :p
