lol, Giroud, usually when a player is going up to a ref and swinging his elbow it's trying to show what was done to you. First time I've seen the person who elbowed someone else go up to the ref and show the ref what he did. Very elbow happy in this cup, and well, rubbish also.
Not long before the elbow, France on the break, pass to Giroud... despite being in plenty of space poor touch led to being tackled. Got the ball back and just kind of stood still and got tackled again. Not a clue how Giroud starts after Griezman and others have been so much better. Bit of arrogance and the team thinking Nigeria would be a pushover so play two strikers up top?
EDIT:_ Giroud is god awful, another break, made the wrong run, Valstupido passed to him anyway and he chose a stupid header to an area Benzema could never have made it to. France need to change Giroud at half time, he's been terrible.

They showed it at HT. Some guy watching at home got excited when Chile missed the penalty against Brazil and hit his TV, smashing it
Edit- Nasty challenge. Could have been a lot worse for the Nigerian player there!

That was close to and maybe deserved a red, didn't look intentional but was bad all the same.
France are awful, can't believe they've got to the 61st minute and not changed anything. Devoid of any creativity, pace, general willingness to attack... making the change as I type and the change I thought.

Thought it was a red myself. Player will be lucky to not have a broken ankle. Marchisio was sent off for less.
Also agreed nigeria have shown far more intent. Cue France to score a 90th minute winner.
