Ozil handball, he's just not awake, and just before that Mert needlessly running the ball over the half way line ended up being closed down with no options, if he just stayed 10 yards inside his half with the ball, no need to pass back to the keeper, making their own problems with pointless pushing forwards.

Absolutely nothing, he was crap in the later stages last time around and in his entire time at Real in big games.

He has always had terrible fitness, he's always looked significantly worse when asked to play a few games in short succession, and he's always been almost anonymous in most bigger games. It's not surprising, he rarely if ever shows any fight and he rarely does anything in the final 30 mins of any game. Mourinho used him correctly, sub at 65-70mins in 90% of his games, spread out his games, use him to make sure you don't drop points against weaker teams, don't rely on him in big games.
 
Algeria getting a bit knackered now, was always going to be the case when they started with that intensity..

Schurrle has already done so much more to stretch the defence on the wing than Gotze or Ozil. It's the Utd thing, Kagawa/Mata/Rooney all want to play no.10, realistically so do Kroos/Ozil/Gotze, none of them are good down the wing because they lack the real ability to do what Schurrle is doing already. To get in behind, to be able to cross in from beyond the defence, or just to occupy some defenders and drag them out of the middle. When it was just Muller the back four could get narrow in the box, the cross was coming from deep and they had one runner to mark/put off.
