How many shocking passes, slow long passes that have no chance of getting to their target, will Ozil make? Kroos, been saying for months, does absolutely nothing but occasionally takes a shot, okay that might lead to a chance or even a very rare goal, but you actually need someone to win the midfield battle... he's poo. Gotze has been poor in this cup, in Kroos/Gotze/Ozil they don't have any real pace wide at all, the team can't fit them all in and shouldn't try. Considering they've got more midfield options than anywhere playing Lahm as a DM when they have **** fullbacks is just stupid. Guardiola plays him central mid, so what, Guardiola is a bit of a moron.
 
This is like watching England - Algeria all over again. Just need a Heskey step over to complete the hilarity.
 
Much like the French game, I think a couple key changes will make Germany better and help others click better. They need someone making those wide runs at pace, when Gotze/Ozil get stuck running down the wing you see they are hoping for best case scenario of drawing a freekick, Ozil just standing with the ball not even attempting to beat players when stuck on the wing. But if you have one more guy making runs in behind, then Muller will get more space and one of the two will become an easier pass for Gotze/Ozil and suddenly the offence clicks with just one change. Defence, tactically they have to drop deeper, they aren't offering anything to the offence by stepping 5 yards inside the opposition half, it would make absolutely no difference if they stayed at least 10 yards inside their own half. If the midfielders need the option to pass back, it's not going to kill them to pass it 10 yards further. No need for them to be there at all, for any reason at any stage.

Then a pacey fullback, even just Schurrle for the right back, Lahm to RB, Gotze to sit ahead of Bastian/Kroos and Schurrle goes out wide, you could also change one of Kroos/Gotze/Ozil for Khedira to put in central mid, but that one change a pacey winger for a crap RB will help the whole team so much.

For France Griezman for Giroud made the entire offence, that is 6 players click where as before they couldn't string three passes together, and the offence clicking and having chances took the pressure off the defence and pushed the entire Nigerian team back, one sub changed the entire game on it's head.
