Pretty tough call between Gotze/Ozil tbh, though I think Ozil conceded the ball at worse times leading to counters and has done that this half also so probably would have taken him off. First sub should have been rightback though... which incidentally would have saved him from an almost certainly world cup ending injury. Not saying I'd predict that but he was rubbish and needed replacing before anyone else.

Yes, he's been very very good, but ultimately if any keeper had two slow CB's about 3 miles away when a ball comes over the top would also rush out to it. The biggest difference is that the defence is forcing him to do it a heck of a lot in this game.
Almost every ball forward for ALgeria, the defence looks like they are 3mm from being caught badly. You've got Mert jumping and literally just by the width of a hair getting the header away when if he misses a guy is through on goal. It's always with the other CB 20+ yards away and the fullbacks no where to be seen. I've never seen a defence spend so long on the extreme edge of being caught out. COmpletely barmy. Usually a long ball one guy goes to head it and his partner will be within 10 yards and run 5-10 yards deeper so if he misses the ball he can sweep up. No sign of that on any occasion in this game. When they go for a tackle or a header it's last ditch with zero cover... amazing how bad they are.
Now or never really, some of their players look gone so if it goes to extra time I'd say they stand no chance.

Amazing from Muller again, if only there were two Muller's, wouldn't need to rely on these other wasters. Why is it Bastian is the guy getting on the end of that? Seriously, Ozil, Schurrle, Kroos, how the hell are you not trying to get in on the end of that, see the run get in there. Terrible.

Could see the counter coming, thought we'd get a just as you think Germany take it Algeria finally score, great move needed 1 ft higher on that ball and could have been the goal.
