FIFA World Cup 2018 - Final [15 July] **spoilers**

A bit harsh that penalty but his hand did hit the ball. But I can see Croatia easily getting back into this game, they have had a fair few chances more than France. Just unlucky that the penalty went against them.

Fantastic final, honestly thought France would run them over but Croatia doing a good job of running over France.

Still think France will win it but will be close, I do hope Croatia somehow win this...would be epic if they did.

Indeed, but it’s a poor defender that puts his hand in front of the ball when he does this.

His only defence was if the French player had deflected the ball from a yard away.

How was he supposed to see the ball through the player?

He was unsighted as already mentioned.

Besides, after you jump (arms in the air) you then move your arms downwards as you land.

There was literally nothing unnatural about his arm movement.

Here is the situation:

If he'd left his arms in the air as he landed, and the ball had hit his arms, it would be a penalty.
If he puts his arms down to his sides as he executes the jump, and the ball hits his hand, it's a penalty.

How does he not concede a penalty in that case? Basically no matter what he does with his arms as he jumps, if the ball contacts his arms it's deemed a deliberate handball.

What we've seen this tournament from the majority of refs, is that ball touches hand=penalty. Always deemed intentional/deliberate.
 
This game has just exploded lol, Croatia pummelling the France goal.

Only a matter of time before they score I reckon but another France goal and it could be all over.
