I absolutely cannot comprehend what has gone on there. I thought the VAR Room could contact the ref and say 'hey buddy, you've just missed two players haul down the striker right in front of your eyes, you probably ought to take another look'? if neither the ref or the VAR room elected to suggest a review then that is absolutely criminal frankly.
Sigurdsson demonstrated aptly earlier that a penalty is no guarantee of a goal but there's a good chance Serbia would be playing at 2-1 at the moment. If this finishes in a draw, it's hard to see Serbia making it past Brazil with a win and so could well be overhauled by the Swiss in the last round of games.
