FIFA World Cup 2018 - GROUP G [Belgium, Panama, Tunisia, England - 18/23/24/28 June] **spoilers**

Who cares, Kane is exactly the same, I couldn’t give a toss as long as they perform on the pitch.

We must be one of the only countries that harass our players over every little detail.

Most of it is just projection by people sitting at home doing very little with their own existence.
It's incredible really

Drop Sterling, falls over too much and misses chances which you can't afford to miss against big teams.

Henderson, needs to play forward passes more, looks like he worries about his pass stats rather than result!

Young, just doesn't look right, give Rose a start next game.

Lingard seemed a bit off sorts, again you can't.miss some of the chances he did.

I think Rashford/Loftus-Cheek and Rose to start next game, with Henderson being told he is only allowed to pass back 1 in 5 :)

Loftus Cheek came on and tripped over his own feet twice, that was it. I know the starting 11 was poor but he was not an improvement.

I think people need to keep in mind that this is a young squad who were clearly demoralised after the ref showed himself to be corrupt/inept. Up to that shocking penalty decision they were well in control.
They need to build confidence and resilience because they clesrly did demonstrate skill.

We laboured to break them down in the second half, but an inexperienced side kept their patience. Thought Alli didn't contribute enough tonight, and if he was injured he should have come off earlier. R L-C and Rashford made excellent impacts, and started to get into good positions. Didn't have an awful lot to do defensively, but thought Walker didn't look to comfortable playing alongside two inexperienced international centre halves. Also thought we looked narrow, and having Ashley Young at left wing back was limiting. Would much rather have Rose in there.

Good from Harry Kane, excellent header. Thought Trippier was brilliant too. Passed it excellently and looked to be the most experienced player out there.

So we'll beat Panama, surely, then probably lose to Belgium. Does that mean we probably play Germany in the first round?

Edit no sorry, it's someone like Columbia?

England of old would have lost or drew that game and in turn lost there heads and the next 2 games.

All things cosconside we looked quite comfortable they only scored from.a dubious penalty apart from that did they got a shot on target?

England should have had 2 pens themselves.

In a tournament where some of the top teams are getting beat I'm not sure what England fans want? Doesn't matter how we get the 3 points as long as we get them. We are never going to beat anyone 4 or 5 nil in a World Cup it rarely happens for anyone.

Keep grinding out wins, remember we are not even supposed to do well in this tournament.

Loftus Cheek came on and tripped over his own feet twice, that was it. I know the starting 11 was poor but he was not an improvement.

He put it on a.plate for Rashford to dummy.for Lingard, he was direct and looked like he wanted to get a goal for the team. I think given the chances Lingard had he would have stuck one away.

As for Stirling, unless we can track down his footballing twin that Man City keep locked away I think we need to lose him somewhere far away before the next game

How on earth can you say that with a straight face? They are not playing a powerhouse of footballing talent like Spain, etc. They are playing Tunisa, a powerhouse of really good food and nice shisha. Yes the refereeing was shocking but do you not think that it should be a clear cut win given the supposed 'talent' the team have?

Tunisia are not Panama or Saudi; they're a decent side. Not top of the tree but decent. We utterly outclassed them. Perhaps if you expect England to win the tournament you'd be disappointed with tonight; I'm more realistic. This was the best first match of the Euros or Worlds we've had in years.

I actually blame the media for some of it. They as always over hype the team year in year out. I'm used to bias when I watch Formula 1 with Crofty and Ted kissing Hamiltons backside. But the guy is consistently very very good and is a multiple world champion. Listening to Lineker, Keown et al was absolutely cringe worthy. I mean were they even watching the same match?!

I'm in Germany, watching the German coverage I understand about one word in three of. I don't get the frothing English commentators to listen to. But, you know what, the German commentators were pretty positive about us too.

Nothing wrong with the first decision. If we are all going to sit here and demand VAR for decisions like that then people need to stop being biased and look at the whole incident. Stones clearly fouls his marker before Kane is fouled, if anything its a free kick to Tunisia.
