FIFA World Cup 2022 Group E ** spoilers ** (Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan)

I don't think Japan's goal was controversial really, if any part of the ball is touching the line, it's still in play. Wasn't clearly out IMO - although very close.

Edit - by touching I mean any part of the ball shape is over the line.

Pundits really talking up the controversy, don't see it myself, from what we've seen it's entirely plausible the ball was in play.

They're talking like it was a foot past the line and something really dodgy has gone on to give it.

Yeah, very odd. They aren't owed anything and nor are we. I'm sure we will see something conclusive at some point. The decision has been made. I assume for the right reason.
