Myself I think Grealish will be sold and part fund Bellingham. I don't think his family thinking he was not ready as a 17 year old is the same as now, when he's proven to be of the highest quality. I guess we find out in 6 or so months.
Dembele was no slouch either.
You say that but look at the last World Cup, Southgate getting patted on the back for getting England to the semis, but the reality was we had 3 games against good teams (Belgium, Croatia) and lost all of them, no team in the entire tournament lost more games than England. Last Nations League we had 6 games and didn't will any of them, failed to score home and away against Italy having lost the Euro final against them. Nations League before the Euros, effectively lost on aggregate to Belgium. Euro qualifiers was basically pub teams.
To be honest, aside from beating Germany in the last Euros our record against good teams in recent years is mediocre at best.

Its all a bit irrelevant to be fair. Germany are out, no one saw that coming. Italy didn't even make it to the WC after winning the Euros.
Do I think we will win the WC. Probably not. Do I think we have a decent chance along with 3 or so other teams? Sure.
I think France are good but if we play well we can beat them. Mbappe loves space and when teams switch off and give it to him he can be deadly. He can be stopped though.

Don't know if this has been covered already but Sterling went home because there was an armed break in at his home while his family were there.
Footballers are going to have to get armed security at this rate. Its ridiculous. Hope him and his family are all OK.

What's happened to Grealish anyway? I thought he was supposed to be the second coming, in fact, I'm sure he was pretty awesome a year or so ago and now seems to have gone off the boil?

Gundogan's contract is up in the summer I believe and Bernado will mostly likely go so that'll open up a nice bit of space for Jude to slide in.
Can't see anyone taking Grealish on.
Walker's going to have to up his game if he's going to match up to Mbappe, he got roasted a couple of times against Sarr

From my view Grealish is a player you use when teams sit deep and defend compactly. He will jink in and around the box drawing players in and fouls which is useful in those situations for unlocking opportunities. He just doesn't offer the range of our other attacking players.

USA were better than Iran and Senegal though, no? My point is, England get found out when there's anything resembling decent opposition. They scored really easily against Iran and Senegal because those teams were utter crap, but not a single goal against USA. Don't get me wrong, I want us to beat France like everyone else. But I don't see it happening and will be happy to eat my hat if it does.Think he is high.. also said USA were a good side
