***FIFA11 PS3 10v10 Club***

The Trials Of Hercules

Newbies joining us will play 3 matches as a trial.

VPs must have a minimum OVR of 70 (may change depending on FIFA11 VP development)

At the end of this trial, the rest of the players will vote on your fate.

Majority vote wins.

So either be good, or have sex with the players. Your decision.

Yes I do have fifa 10 and I think my vp is around 77..as I have focused on ultimate team for a while and haven't used my vp for a while, I still want to have a trial though.
 
Probably should reiterate that the list of people automatically in the squad is the core of regulars who have been playing since club on FIFA 09 and I think all have at least 300 club appearances in the FIFA 10 side, that is why they are automatically selected for this new non-OCUK endorsed team :)

Not really 100% true of pro ranked. Perhaps a few bad experiences put you off it? Pro ranked tbh is where you learn the skills or if you want to try a new move etc. Its a free for all but you do still get ppl who want to pass the ball about. Also you dont get better at something unless you practice it.

Skills work as long as they have a purpose e.g. roulette to get past someone is very effective. But a lot of the time you dont need skills you just need to change direction ha and that scuppers the defender coming in to tackle.

right now im annoyed with fifa 11 because i had almost perfected freekicks in 10 (anyone wants a freekick faceoff ;) ) and now my shooting is all over the place i have to learn it all again in fifa 11...

We've been talking about it elsewhere and I think it'd be nice to see you in action in Fifa 10, we should be playing this evening, I'll be around but I'm not sure on the others plans yet. You were impressive in Head to Head games and I think you may be able to carry that over to Online Clubs. :)

This isn't the OcUK club, this is a club which has been set up by Skippi90, Jonny_No2, ps3ud0 and myself. Beenom and Baplad are also in as they were the other most regular players last year. This has nothing to do with an official OcUK club so whatever the founding members / regulars say, goes. There is no problem in the PC thread where you have other clans recruiting, TFU springs to mind, this is simply a "clan", but it's our clan, it isn't OcUK's. We have set this club up with a good idea of the type of people we'd like to join us. If you can show that you'll play as a TEAM and have fun at the same time then you're virtually in. There simply has to be a level of quality control and if players such as Talbs want to ruin the fun for the rest of the team then that's up to him, but seeing as this club belongs to us, and not OcUK I think we shall decide how it's run and who is in it. You can also argue all you want that what I say about you taking the fun out of games is a load of bull, but it's funny how this isn't just my opinion, but our collective opinion, we've discussed it extensively and all you are causing is the derailing of the thread, it doesn't need to be totally centered around you and you only. We've said you can have a trial already, so either trial or don't, it doesn't make a difference to me.

If you wish to question why I should automatically be picked then I may remind you I have over 800 appearances for our Online Club in FIFA 10, as have all the other regulars.

Just to reiterate this is nothing to do with OcUK, the only reason this thread exists is to discuss the events of Online Clubs and to have a bit of banter and a bit of fun. So far excluding the constant digs by Talbs this thread has been fine.

In all honesty Talbs/SiTrauma, from what I remember of you last year you were just a ball hog and FIFA being a different game doesnt really dispel that opinion. While you were at Club you did have the ability to show us you were a team player, but I really never saw that and you didnt have the dedication to continue playing.

Im glad to see that you are interested and maybe moreso that youve changed your style - you are more than welcome to come play and try out, but just be aware that we do have expectations. I dont think anyone has said anything other than that and though it sounds harsh, what weve got in Club currently works really well and we want to add to that, we are aware looking at other Clubs thats its quite easy to fall apart so trying to maintain that status quo and bring in new talent is obviously a tricky thing to do, so we are trying to, naturally, err on caution.

We have fun, but only if we know everyones playing for each other and not themselves and thats something the current regulars have already proven, we just want you guys to indicate the same thing irrelevant if you are actually brilliant or not. We arent perfect or the best, we know we arent - but what we have now works well, we dont want to break it...

Surfer, Ive played Pro Ranked for a number of weeks recently - its pretty dire and unorganised Im afraid to say. The only good thing about is that I didnt realise FIFA 10 had so many shooting bugs in it, so learnt a lot from that...

People most definitely play for themselves either to show off or to score on their own, only a few play with the mentality to play for the team and really that doesnt mean 'oh no Im gonna get tackled, Id better pass' - passing for the sake of it isnt what an organised Club is about, but the realisation that someone is in a far better scoring/passing position than you. The amount of times Ive passed the ball to someone for a tap in and theyve shot too late or been tackled is amazing - they just dont have the mentality that its a team game and are surprised that Ive passed...

Dont you ever find it weird how people are named 'Looking for Club' or 'Looking for Players' or something - if indeed they were as good as they think they were theyd be playing Club We arent there ourselves yet, but never has any of our games ever felt like Pro Club...

From what Ive seen in FIFA 11, with its much slower gameplay that passing is far more important to maintain a move now than ever, while tricking as far as Im concerned is never really needed...

Change the team name if it's not a OcUK team and create a new thread just for your "special" team. Use this as the PC guys use it for, other teams not just your "special" one.

Of course you will darling. You've been nothing but hostile throughout this thread and the only reason for that is because we haven't outright said that you are in the club. Why should you be allowed straight in and everyone else be trialled? You weren't a regular player in 09 or 10, you came in for, by your own admission a small amount of games, yet you feel you should be in, despite all of us agreeing you didn't play very well as a team. We beat teams who play like you night after night. ;)

The thread title is actually FIFA 11 PS3 10v10 Club, and the name of the club is Multiple Scoregasm, if you have difficulty reading then that is very much your own problem. I see no mention of the word OcUK Club, or Overclockers.

Its not an OcUK team anymore? Its not been mentioned - look at the thread title? If you got that impression, then Im sorry - if you felt entitled to join, that was never the expectation we gave.

Good luck in what you decide - just remember your reply echoes a lot of what Ive said above - its a shame, cos that was an opportunity for you to prove us wrong...

I'll give you that :p you do see a fair few shooting bugs. with pro ranked as long as your expectations for super organized teamwork arent high then you dont get frustrated.

Remember poly i play pro ranked all the time.

Not all games are like that - you always get ppl hogging the ball yeah but once you get used to it its not so bad - Ive had more good games than bad. Also because its pro ranked you play with and against different players every game so you get bad players, rage players, good players and very good players. So no two games are alike.

Its not needed but its fun. I love being involved in a move that leads to a cool goal (e.g. like Arsenal were the other night :D ). I hate how difficult shooting in fifa 11 is.

scored 2 goals like that in my last pro ranked game. Seems impossible to do that now in fifa 11 i guess i just expected to be able to pick it up not have to learn basic things again.
