There seems to be two in Salisbury. They're both pre-war Aikido (which is generally 'better'), but quite different schools.Si Senor....

The first seems to be Yoshinkan - the 'hard' style. The style in the UK has coloured belts (shudder), and commonly lessons will only focus on one or two techniques. Repetition, repetition, repetition. The head instructor there appears to be the second highest Yoshinkan Aikido Instructor in the UK.
The other is Iwama, which emphasises weapon work, but is very close to 'traditional' Aikikai aikido. As above, the lessons should be codified with repetition.
They could be crap, but in my experience, Yoshinkan and Iwama tend to be more standard. There aren't many clubs of these styles in the UK.
As for the handholds, the wiki gives names you could youtube. And there is a good glossary here, with attacks and basics.

I seen the adverts, and to be honest they do like they have fun and get on well
JLC is one of them blokes everyone seems to like and have a joke with Should be good, I have enjoyed a lot of his shows recently, including the other recent one of Justin Lee Colins turning Japanese.

It wasnt as good as I thought it would be, I find the American's dont tend to have as good humour as the British unfortunately
