Revolver

It just didn't make a lot of sense

watch it again, it does make sense...kinda. although it does seem like Guy Ritchie just trying to be abstract.

Vanilla Sky - pointless self-indulgent crap.

edit: ^Sic, I take it it's worth another bash?

see, that's the thing...it seems to be pointless self indulgent crap, but it really isn't. it has a great story, a great idea and it's executed VERY well by all involved. i'm of the school of thought where i shouldn't have to try hard to like a film/piece of music...but a lot of people told me that it's crap the first time because you just sit there going "wtf just happened?!" but once you actually see what's going on, you'll find it hard to understand why you were confused in the first place.

Donnie Darko on the other hand...no matter how many times i watch that film, i'm still not sure i get it.

Agree with donnie darko, i don't even think the creator gets it himself.

I thought unbreakable the film was terrible. No Point.

Then again i hate Kill Bill, sent me to sleep.

Love Actually - The only movie ive watched and thought "did anything really happen, was there any point" ...the things women make you watch and do!! :o

I thought of Mulholland Driver as soon as I saw the title without reading the thread. Turns out i was right, the firm is definitly strange, i prefer to think of it all as a dream. And then just enjoy it.

Yeah, same here!

I've seen it 4 times and never read any explanations or anything, just enjoy watching it.

Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, mental film but quite enjoyable.

"One toke? You poor fool! Wait till you see those goddamn bats."

Donnie Darko confused the hell out of me at first until someone here posted a good detailed explanation.

Akira still has me baffled in part.

Nightwatch. I think i just sat through it to see what else they could do with the subtitles more than anything else.

Garden State. Definately one of the weirdest films I've ever seen in terms of "so is there actually a plot here".

I wouldn't call Garden State weird, it's pretty straight forward. There's no plot, because it's not a plot driven movie...

There's nothing to it at all though. It just really makes no sense.

But that's internal emotional development, not external physical development! That's not a movie, it's so pointless!!!!!! :p
