Played for quite a long time last night... ON AN EU SERVER!!

So yes, I'm back on Cerberus levelling my archer. Has anybody set up a FC on there yet?

I saw there is one on Pheonix, however, I don't want to re-roll, for the third time (already done this on JP servers and a bit bored of the same quests over and over ^^

Once your on - it is a really good game! quests are interesting, good story line, plenty to do (certainly doesn't feel like im grinding for exp like i am in other MMOs), crafting system is very nice too.. and of course some lovely graphics!

I was holding off on joining an FC until an OcUK one was set up or something, but the recruitment message for Wind sounded very appealing so decided to join up. Was very surprised when Din brought up OcUK!

Well a load of friends managed to get on moogle this morning, so looks like they are lowering the caps and allowing character creation again.

Maybe, it was easy to get on the servers yesterday morning too but not so much later on in the day.

Well no idea on now, but they couldn't leave it locked the entire day of release. It would cause a lot of backlash.

Right. So I purchased the digital copy from SE site on the 24th Aug. Realised they weren't going to give out any more access codes but I STILL haven't received the code for my download.

FFXIV ARR does come out today right?

Their customer service is terrible it's left me in shock :mad:

Today is the official launch as far as I'm aware, yes. Have you checked your junk folder? A lot of my E-mails from Squenix go right to spam for some reason (though I've tried to add all of their various addresses). I've not had any problems with their CS in the past, they've responded and helped me out fairly quickly before.

Guess I'm gonna have to wait a little longer, I'm quite patient but I'll be annoyed if it's not sent by the 29th (when pre-order early access ends, I want that damn moogle cap!)

I love the look of the Moogle Cap so much. Sadly it becomes redundant fairly quickly and the XP bonus doesn't apply once you're over level 10, but once they add the Appearance tab I plan on wearing it with my White Mage AF gear

It is pretty cool - Unfortunately, I only managed to pick mine up yesterday, after I hit level 10 -.- lol

Do you get one for every character you create?

Same for me sadly

I was level 25 by the time I got mine.

I assume you'll get one for every character yeah (at least it would make sense since practically every other MMO does that), will you be making more than one though?

I was thinking more for if I create a character on a different server or something, just in case

- But nope, generally I'll only have the one character!

EDIT: Out of interest, is there any way we can add all the useful links/resources we've had into the OP?

Ah! That does make more sense

I like it on Odin, think I'm going to stick to the one server unless friends end up on others down the line and only if they introduce server transfers. I've been through enough Alphas, Betas, and rough launches to not be bothered by all the stuff going on so I'll just wait it out.

I had been doing that in my thread for it here, but I don't see any way of that being done unless the OP is asked to edit it.

I'll continue to update that thread so we have an OP with current information, Free Company/Linkshell information, and other sources. It was originally intended to be for the console players but obviously everyone's welcome to post there

I done 3 dungeon runs last night as a dd class, the wait times can be long, but i don't mind that, at least they are working now.

Is anyone else skipping side quests? Atm i am just focusing on the main quest + my class quest. I figured the side quests would be useful for when i decide to level are new class/job. Good idea or bad idea?

I've done quite a few of the initial bunch (between 1-10) but mainly just stuck to the main storyline quests and my class quests. I'll probably just do the 1-10 style quests in a different starting zone when I want to level a new class

I did every quest at 1-10 i could see, most of them act as a tutorial.

The first dungeon says it's level 15 in the duty finder, it unlocks through doing the main quest story.

Yeah the missus did every single one in starting city, there for ages running backwards and forwards ^^

I just did the main hubs!

Thanks for that, I've just picked up my next story line quest to go to the new quest hub, which i'm guessing is 10-15/20, also picked up carpentry, Archer gotta make bows!
