Last nights patch brought in the auto logout for afk'ers (30 mins) and a fix so you can't speed run AK or WP which I approve of.
ANybody still struggling to log on should have an easier time now.
Wish they would sort the RMT spam though, its a complete joke at the moment. I've had to remove shout and yell from my chat panel its so bad when in cities.
Finally got my Ifrit weapon after 33 runs and ironically it was the worst group ever. 4 manned it from 45% > dead due to everybody accepting res and dying immediately to another AoE. People really should know the patterns of that fight and understand when a suitable time to accept is

Finally hit 50 the otehr night and have completed the story quest up to Ifrit hardmode unlocking so looking forward to that! The story has been superb, it's like a single player final fantasy game experience all wrapped up in the MMO environment.
Whats the gear requirement like for Ifrit HM? like I said, I just hit 50 so have the 4 pieces of blue armour you get from class quest and the rest is around lvl 47 gear on average, I'm a Paladin.

How did they fix speed runs? What changed so that you can no longer do it?

With Ifrit as a Paladin, you could go in with very little gear, as you could just play the role of off tank and stun the eruption.
In order to tank him, I'd probably wait until you can grab a couple more pieces, like the sword from GC, shield from WP and maybe a couple greens from AK.

you got a code if you pre-ordered it, however AFAIK they only have the physical version. May as well get it to be fair, it will no doubt be quicker to get your hands on the game than waiting for the digi download.

- Extra mobs so there is nowhere to safely hide while tank dies any more.
- The mobs move faster so you can't really run that far without dying as a tank.
- First boss is gated requiring the last back before to be killed
- Bosses after require all trash mobs to be killed.
It also seems they have added a kinda anti spam filter on shouting so after 4 shouts you can't do it for a certain amount of time. Step in the right direction on RMT but still needs more.

Digital purchase is available again from today I believe.
Alright its probably about time to work on my Archer instead of my crafters this weekend. Got the Weaver, Goldsmith and Armourer to level 15 last night. Really need the Goldsmith to craft some HQ versions of the +CP gear. Got the Neck and Earrings now, still need the Wristlets and Rings.
The value of the low level gear is random as hell. Was looking at some of the level 5-10 range gear and some people are paying 1-2k for gear they'll use for about 30 minutes! Then you go up and because so many crafters are around the 10-20 range, all the gear in that bracket is near worthless.

Crafting is pretty fun for me. Started on Alchemy last couple of days as I need it for the Relic weapon.
Got it to 20ish with vendor mats and finally making use of the 90~ leves I had not used to have in tradecraft leves. Buying cheap HQ Ethers for 3gil each and handing in for several hundred gil and 12k exp in return seemed an awesome and slightly profitable way to do it!
In other news, they have banned 828 accounts for RMT related activity (spamming) which might see the spam reduced until they "acquire" more accounts.
