Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn

I was in half a mind not to buy it because of the mess and how far ahead others would be. But then I think there are hundreds and thousands of people in the same boat so when they release digi sale it will be like a second wave of new starters.

Wish it would be blinking soon though, off away again Wednesday.
 
There seem to be new people coming on the server all the time. There is only one new server EU (Lich) all the starting places are full of new chars so i don't think you'll miss out. Its pretty cool being there at the start though when everyone else is discovering stuff for the first time too.

I've had this game since early release, and i'm still a noob (like level 21 and 15 on another class) combination of working long hours on weekday and not being able to log on, on weekends means i dont get chance to level!

Not even tried to log on today, with the games early failures i've kinda lost interest. I mean, it's nothing like the original FF14....but still.

I'm on Lich, and am in a FC - it's not a fantastic one as it's all random invites, but everyone seems pleasant.

I'm in the same boat, had it since pre-release but havn't been bable to have any proper time on it untill the weekend just gone... Managed to get a good binge on this Saturday. 5-6 hours :) - and gone from 17-24. just joined a Grand Company, now saving up for my Chocobo! :)

Really enjoying the story, and how the main quest line leads you into picking up 3-4 different side quests at a time :)

I'm currently in a FC but its soooo inactive (was just a random invite kind thing), how does one leave a FC? also, anybody on Cerberus that I can join?

It's not as bad as in that video from the raid encounters I've been doing. Granted it's still not as good as it should be, but it's all perfectly doable once you get the hang of it. You have to kind of pre-empt them, especially on that Titan fight!
 
Might give this a go, just got a new PC and I like MMO's but not interested in going back to WOW. I know this game has had a lot of issues but then every MMO does and it's a tossup between this and Star Wars.
 
similar to Wow in which you have X button does X ability. But you can also do combo moves. Attacking from different positions also gives you bonus damage etc... I think the best examples would be from Lancer/Pugilist.

I play Archer which is pretty basic in terms of abilities. at the moment (level 23) I have to keep a DoT up on the target, as well as keep a +10% crit chance buff up. Said buff, when combined with another ability can proc an attack that will always crit.

Apparently Lancer/Pugilist are much more complex. though i've not played them myself.

Archer does seem to be doing insane damage at the moment though, I always seem to pull aggro from the tank, even if I hold off attacking the first 4-5 seconds.

True enough but still. I tried Rift again today, not a clue what they've done to that game! Really tempted as long as I can find the usual adult guild of casuals to play with.
 
Aye not enough hours in the day and all that! I think I'm going to try this and from my understanding most OCUK are on Cerberus? It's literally impossible for me to buy this, the store keeps looping me back to type my email after I say login through Steam, then it tells me my email is already in use.

So I'm not allowed to even create a character on an EU server, this may be the worst purchase I have ever made.
