Haha, tbh I'd not buy pre braided, don't look half as good, and theres always cables you cant buy that you will want to braid!

If you weren't so far away, I'd braid any thing ya wanted for the cost of the equipment and a pack of beer!

If you want a sample of the orange I used il send you some?

I'm currently looking for a decent modular psu too, but after 2 graphics cards, 2 new water blocks for them , a case, ram, cable braiding and other bits and bobs I'm feeling the pinch this month! !

Excellent build so far mate. I noticed that you've got 3 fans above and below the radiators. What's the reasoning behind this? Does this an able you to run them slower and quieter with the same flow rate?

Had a change around and have 4 either side, aye that's the theory you can lessen the load/noise and get better results :)

T, did ya get my reply to your trust message dude?

I did D, unfortunately I got a bit restless and decided to have a change of gpu's ..... plus this so called "Gigabyte Orange" has turned out n out pink, I know its funny but at £15 a litre am not going to let this one go am hopping mad ... see below

Get in touch with Mike at mayhem (search on here for him) he will send you some dyes to sort it out. If not let me know and I will. I had the same problem. It's a problem with a batch of the coolant unfortunately.

Morning David :)

Am not so bright today can you point me to the mayhems chappy?

I did get a decent camera to take some better quality pics but ..... also decided to upgrade the cpu to a 3930k, change the loop order and ditched my 780's in favour of 7990s. So will be doing more of a Re-Build log in the very near future once I can get this Gigabyte Pink sorted :)

any reason your not gong for 4930k and why ditch the 780's?

Morning Mark

I picked up the 3930k for £260 so could not really say no. The 780's I had thought long and hard about but as I will be doing a lot of Seti crunching 2 x 7990s will give me more output than 2 x 780s :)

Have posted in the Mayhems thread will see what they have to say.
A few people have said that they will probably send me some dye to sort it, its not a bigee was just a bit gutted when I realised it was turning pink. Am going to go ahead today flush the lot and use de-ionised and silver kill coil until the 7990 blocks arrive then I will give the "orange" another try :)

Yeah 2 was a bit overkill but as there were 2 x quads involved it will help ease the load plus provide redundancy if one fails I have a chance to replace it :)

Nice work so far Tony - looking forward to seeing how this one progresses... 2x 7990's will be somewhat epic!

Makes me wanna return to watercooling! :(

I'm thinking of doing a loop very similar to this, so I'm intersted in the final loop order.

I also have the same pump and top and was thinking of attaching the X3 reservoir to it, so bought one of he smaller ones (the 150). However I suspect the CPU will be the last component in my loop and getting the tubing to go from the CPU down to the res, well, virtually all the way to the pumps, sat in the bottom like yours, is going to be tricky due to the GPUs being in the way.
So was thinking of mounting the tube res much like you have. What size tube res did you go for in the end?

Thanks J much appreciated, ordered the blocks today and am going to get stuck into it Thursday, will make sure I take some decent pics this time after everyone moaned and forced me into spending £135 on a camera :(:D

If you do hanker after a basic loop there are spare nickel/silver fittings here should you need em

Hi Chris
I got so confused with all the res pieces and bits left over so for the sake of loosing a length of tubing (less tat on display) I ordered a 250 x3 today with the link for the block.
Originally I had it on the floor of the case but these 7990's length mean I have to move the res, drill some holes so while I am at it I may as well raise it to mid case with a sheet of metal ( just a hacked up metal divider from the filing cabinet). I will be drawing and fiddling on tomorrow so will send you the final thoughts and a flow diagram before I git crackin' Thursday. :)

I have also just ordered the 250 tube and already have the adapter to mount, so we could be in similar positions. I'm only going with 3 x 7950s though so shouldn't have the length issues you have.
Raising the pumps up might be a nice idea, will have to look into that.
Are you planning on steadying the tube res in any way (assuming it's attached to the pumps) as I imagine once full with water it'll be quite heavy and could have quite a high centre of gravity?

If your going to raise them leave the hd cages in and you should be able to slide in a thin sheet of something or over like a diving platform if you know what I mean.

No need to worry about centre of gravity, the res screws directly into the link which is fixed to the block eliminating a hose length
