I live in hope!
Last update on it was that after reviewing the MRI scan I had done in January this year, the medical team for ‘my side’ advised that I should have Arthroscopic Surgery, that suggestion was put to the other side and they said before they would authorise payment for it (on a private basis) I would first need to ascertain whether the operation can be done via the NHS and the associated waiting time…
It’s drawn out for several months as I switched GP surgeries back in May and my old surgery didn’t send my records out to the Local Authority; I waited the 6-8 weeks they said it would take before finally calling to chase them up, only to be told “they’re still here”
After getting in to see my GP armed with all history, they are unable to advise if said surgery is required, as none of the private medical paperwork from the solicitors mentions anything about an operation, only that a CT Scan may offer a better view of what is going on in my wrist….
Got a reviewed booked up via my GP, with a hand specialist at the local private surgery (via NHS though!), in September, so I’ll have to wait and see what they say.
Last settlement offer was for £12,500, prior to that it was £10,000 – but they keep giving me offers before I have had everything checked, so I have been refusing on that basis alone so far, personally I also feel that the figure is quite low as well, considering the impact this has had on my life
How’s that for a thread jack
