You are probably right with people saying get the corsair, but don't rule out the others if they are a good price, I have the freezer 7 and it is great for overclocking.

For the money the case is good :D

But the good thing is you buy all the parts new and after 3 months until something new comes out. you will put your used items on ebay and then i get a good deal :p:p:p:p

Very true, I think people like this thread firstly because everyone loves a bargain, its always interesting to see what bargains are out there.

Secondly for the nostalgia value of putting together your 1st system.

My 1st that I actually put together all by myself was a windows 95 machine, made completely from salvaged parts.

Had no ebay then though, was a little harder to come by components on there own, it was usually a case of getting complete pc's and getting the best bits out.

edit. Just found this lol this was top end back then.

We have a lot of pc fairs usually round where i am, bin once or twice, IT's good for some bargains :D

Computer Fairs can be good,But don't get sucked in by the lingo and buy junk that would be no value to you at all,Just saying;)
 
I think the ocz gold is good stuff, was/is used by a lot of members on here. I think they just added the "vista" name when vista came out as a selling point.

you can run vista but there is no reason to choose it over Win7.

Its the 6400 stuff right?
 
Shame you cant get on members market. There are some good cheap chips popping up occasionally.

I can get a black dvd/cd rewriter drive (Liteon) for £5.50 with p&p and it's a black front,.

or i have 2 white dvd rom drives or white 2 dvd/cd r/w drives or some grey dvd drive or grey dvd/cd rom r/w drive

But i am not sure if any of the ones i have work???

are yours sata or ide? you will want a sata one preferably.. Its up to you if you are bothered about the colour.

I think you will want a black one though in your new black case.

I think you can get them next to nothing used but postage will be the majority of the cost, they are about £15 new I think.
 
they are ide and the one i have found is sata.

Do i need another drive or will the dvd/ cd r/w do both playing films and burning music???
