Joe T said:Now, saying that on here is asking for trouble! If its your car, and you are in practice the main driver, then you are technically committing insurance fraud.
Better to have you as the main driver, add your mum as a second driver (can save you over £100 on some policies) and start to build up your NCB. And you dont commit insurance fraud.
I am still on my mothers insurance as I had some bad offences a few years back and it is still stinging me now.
Some policeman with an attitude problem pulled me over once and checked my details. Basically said that I was doing insurance fraud and that I was the main driver. I said prove it and no matter what im still insured to drive this car. He then said be on your way.
Until 5 years im not even thinking about having my own insurance as its 3k+
