First gaming pc

yes, ive also put in the usb 3.0 too, that ok or shall i remove?
It's OK.

Double, double check again:
  • 8 pin 12V (motherboard and PSU)
  • 24 pin (motherboard and PSU)
  • CPU fan in CPU_FAN header
  • GPU 8 pin (GFX and PSU)
  • Kettle lead in back of PSU
  • Make sure PSU is switched on at the back of unit
  • DP/HDMI cable connected to monitor and other end connected to graphics card ***NOT*** the motherboard output. Make doubly sure!
Plug in PSU (Make sure PSU is switched on at the back), plug in monitor etc...

If you're completely happy with above - Press power button on case and press delete on post.

And it better f'ing post :D

Nice one. Can call it a day if you want @Plec ?
It would be wise.

We've essentially built the computer - the hard part is over.

The next step is installing the OS drive and then installing the OS - this will take another hour. Probably best we do this tomorrow when you're more alert.

ok:D:D:D

Thank you so much for all of your time and help @Plec , very very much appreciated:).

last thing, the case fans are not spinning?

also the light on the bottom of the case (by the logo) isnt on either?

I've got a mental list of things we'll need to do before the install but we'll discuss these tomorrow.

Have you got a way of downloading drivers on another computer to a USB?

But you've built your first computer!

We've not connected the fans yet - or the logo cable. (Part of mental list for tomorrow).

No problem - i got loads of paper work done - apart from phone call :/

What time tomorrow?

@dmann - i have an hour or so if you're about?

Try muddling through some of the below first:

Download these drivers to a pen drive:

What is the name of the Wireless Adapter you got? - Get the drivers for that too.

Look at you motherboard manual and start connecting case fans to motherboard SYS_Fan headers etc...

Connect at least 1 x Sata/molex cable to your PSU.

Fit SSD into cage/panel/(however you're going to fit it) ready for cables and setup.
