Have had a couple of issues recently seeming to come from my GPU.

Every time I launch a new game it fails to load it in the correct resolution and often just shows a black screen.

Today I had an error (Code 43) come up where the GPU just stopped working for some reason. I've uninstalled the driver and am currently trying to redownload it from the disc, but it gets to a certain stage and everything goes black again.. Getting very confused

Edit: seems to be loading up correctly now, may have just been a slightly wrong driver. I'll keep an eye on it

As kways use DDU ( display driver uninstaller to cleaner installed drivers off.

I'll try that.

Today I booted up to a black screen, there wasn't any video input showing on the screens.
When I rebooted, it got to the desktop but not applications would open, I could open up the start bar and everything, but no applications would open at all. Wouldn't even do the hover over state when the translucent box comes up around the icon

And what's the DDU software? Where can I find that? Found one link but unsure if it's legit!

I've been using DDU a lot myself recently. I got it from Guru3d.

One thing to be aware of is that it needs to be run from Safe Mode. Hold shift while you click restart and a menu will appear. Theres an option in there somewhere that will let you reboot in safe mode.

I think I found the issue. The settings in the Nvidia control panel were down as Resolution 1080i and 30Hz... I've now changed that. Lets see if that works haha

Hi again all,

I've been having a few issues with my PC recently. A few crashes over the past two weeks. All seem to be different errors each time.
I've tried to find solutions for them but haven't found anything conclusive at all.
They're in this spoiler below - if anyone can give me a bit of advice on how I could prevent these from happening, that would be great!

No, i've looked at all the notes in the Event Viewer and the View Reliability History and none of those codes have come up

I'll try reinstalling the drivers again, cheers. It'll be the fifth time i've uninstalled and reinstalled though. Getting a bit irritating!

Guessing through DDU ?
Worth installing second to last latest Update ?
Guessing windows is up to date with April Upgrade or build 1803 ?

Reinstalled the GPU driver once through DDU, once on the windows driver programme and the rest through Nvidia geforve clean install.

Yeah windows has been kept up to date, I've reinstalled now, so I'm hopefully that will be the end of it!

Fingers crossed , will have a quick search at other error codes. Did it happen before any driver updates - windows/gigabyte/Nvidia ?

Yeah, it's been weird, the Blue screens have been quite often, but different error messages each time.

Not sure if you've downloaded Cinebench R15 bit worth a shot , and then running CPU benchmark .

Also, is bios up to date ?

I ran a memory diagnostic check today and it can back with no issues.
Not sure about the bios, haven't updated it since I bought it, so there will probably be a new update around somewhere.

I think I did cinebench but I'll confirm tomorrow

I'll also check for updated ram drivers

None sorry. Head in bios and change ram speed from 3200hz to 3000hz . See if that helps

I'll see if the new GPU driver does anything to help for a couple of days and go from there. I'll try your idea after that
